Yes which was a daft model. A small yearly fee is a good idea IMOWasn’t it £1 to join for life?
The website is suggesting some odd things - merchandise in the future - Sky blue trust scarf anyone?
Stone‘merch’
‘Limbs’
‘Scenes’
Wasn’t it £1 to join for life?
Tried logging in to my account on the website off the back of the email I received but no account exists under my email address.
Wasn’t going to renew anyway but great start.
Same here, so won't even bother to re register.
Your £1 was for a share not a subscription

Well, that's just opened up a rabbit hole.
A share of what exactly?
Well its all a bit crap. At a time when the Trust is actively looking to recruit/retain members , they launch a paid option (which a lot of people have been suggesting for years) and the website is just terrible. It actually looks like a scam- the pictures are all generic and the only one of the CBS looks like it was taken in L2 (or a Wasps game) as there is virtually no one there. The affiliate membership nonsense is all over the site. They claim 2733 member in the minutes but 2300 on the site. How many is it? Also, surely now the membership is however many people pay the £2. I doubt that is in 3 figures.
They have removed the Board members profiles so no idea who is in charge. The meeting for October "hasnt yet happened" but the September minutes are all low level stuff or things out of date that are already covered by the Supporters Forum. There are no updates to what the trust is actually doing about anything but Dave Eyles didnt like the trouble after the Derby game.
Completely understand that this stuff is all done in peoples spare time but this is basic stuff and a simple level of professionalism that is permission to play in any area where you are claiming to represent people. I thought all these "sports marketing" people were meant to sort all this out but clearly cant be arsed.
Very poor.
Pretty sure it's just the FSA and a particular ex council boss pulling the strings of it.
The website is a basic Wix website. Not really sure it's a "lengthy" process to build a basic couple of page site in Wix.
Yeah but it might not be as negative as you may think. It is Roger Ellis at the FSA that because of the likely changes agreed with government affiliated trusts need to ensure they have everything in place to be used in the way the government and the fsa envisage.Pretty sure it's just the FSA and a particular ex council boss pulling the strings of it.

While I always appreciate a Simpsons meme, I’m not sure “they’re using stock photos!!1!1!” Comes under valid criticism.
It's the 2021 version of Microsoft Clipart.
Their old website was more advanced.
Is their level of webmastery really our key complaint here?
The website is fine. I’m more concerned about whether they’ll have online meetings/voting TBH. Has anyone found out?

Ermmmmmm online meetings and voting via "webmastery".
Not really. It’ll be some service they buy in. Highly doubt they’ll have a bunch of full stack devs working on a bespoke system.
The website is standard voluntary org stuff. People on here are ridiculous.

I didn't suggest they would or should.
The website is worse than the old one.
That's not just saying it, it really is. They have somebody they have claimed is sorting it and it's taken ages in the making but it's a free basic web builder with stock images.
How can you see them integrating a voting system with the member base?
You don't need a bunch of full time developers. All this does is prove the "we know best" attitude they have always had.
