Not just the councillors, FOIs more likely to be rejected as vexatious etc.Green pen brigade. Councillors just tune them out. Aligning yourself with cranks is a bad strategy. Anyway I’m out before someone takes this as me claiming a conspiracy theory
Maybe the council has more interest in wasps than they make out.
Salop agreeing that Wasps need to remove NDAJoking aside who is left in the 'but SISU' camp now? salop888, Linnell and his mate Neil?
Deadline to apply for bonds was 6th May, they were issued on 7th May.Yeah.
The timings would all be interesting too and when money was actually paid.
Was it "you can take on the loan and you have to pay it back now" or was it "don't worry lads, you go sort your bonds and send it over when you can".
I would like to add my two pennies worth. Firstly when has a hedge fund ever built anything? We are blinded by our hope. Secondly surely we can all see that it currently makes little financial difference to be playing at St.Andrews rather than the Ricoh and it clearly puts Wasps under pressure which is the modus operandi of Hedge Funds. We can dance around indemnity and nda all we like but leopards dont change their spots. Getting gullible fans on their side is just good PR. Nothing substantial at all. Robin's and the team have turned some heads
AOKEOTSATYShit is this not Grindr?

Very well said. Looking forward to reading more of your contributions on this forum.I admit I skipped pages 7 to 12 as things started getting a bit repetitive, but the thing that is blindingly obvious to me, and not apparently to Shmmeee, is that Wasps must have been perfectly well aware that they had been gifted the Ricoh at a giveaway price. More than that, they must have thought they had got away with this by making sure all the blame was heaped on SISU and CCFC. They have been totally sneaky in the way that haven't kept to any of the their promises (CCFC will always be able to play at the Ricoh etc.)
If the EU judgement goes against them - and all their behaviour suggests that they are very frightened that it might - they want an assurance that their illegal acquisition is preserved intact whilst someone else (SISU or CCFC) picks up the bill. It is not a question of saying it's simply word-play or how you interpret things or all the parties are just looking after their own interests. It is blindingly obvious to most of us that there's been a massive stitch up and that CCFC has been the massive loser. If Wasps now go bust and all those councillors get kicked out of office, who have done their best (or conspired) to deprive the city's proud football team of the stadium that was built for it to play in, they have only reaped what they sowed with their underhand tactics. This is a CCFC supporters website. We don't need to be making excuses for the parties that have been trying to make the existence of our team almost impossible. We owe Wasps nothing. They have almost cost us our very existence as a viable football club. If we do survive in the Championship, it will be no thanks to Wasps or CCC! If they have to contribute towards what we have lost, and to pay in part for us to build a new stadium, they will get no sympathy from me. They will get exactly what they deserve.

What would you do?He has a point. how will they raise capital for such a project?
Sorry Sky Blue Pete I didn't mean to come across as patronising. I just can't see SISU as good guys. They will never build a stadium so where does that leave us? They've moved us out of Coventry twice and managed to create enough confusion that we dont hold them responsible. Smoke and mirrors. They own the club they make the decisions. The long term future of the club...frankly no. I just dont believe it
He has a point. how will they raise capital for such a project?
Exactly my thoughts since this broke who’s paying for itHe has a point. how will they raise capital for such a project?
If that’s what happened. No. But there’s no indication of strong arming and I don’t see how they could strongarm a third party business against their will.
Agreed.
Its been a stitch up since the council took all the money from the Tesco deal for the land.
The club cannot continue to be ‘enslaved’ by the RICOH indefinitely. Regardless of tactics, SISU were right that it was totally broken and unsustainable relationship between the RICOH and CCFC. Issues that wouldn’t go away when SISU leave the club.
Wasps, as an organisation, are vultures. They tried to take over Adams Park and kick out Wycombe of their stadium. Thankfully, their local council had the foresight of safeguarding their local football team.
Our local council, frankly, have let us down completely. In relation to the latest failed talks they put a statement saying ‘it’s an issue between landlord and tenant’, showing a total disregard for the club. Selling 100% of the RICOH to Wasps was, not only a stitch up, but has fundamentally put the club’s future at risk. Bad blood between SISU and the CCC does not excuse the total failure to safeguard the club (and CRFC, to a lesser extent).
Worst of all, CCC genuinely don’t seem to care about the situation CCFC finds itself in.
Was the family. Memo to self. Tweed jacket looking worn outBit harsh on @skybluesam66 !
25 years isn't long. That just kicks the can down the road, and would have been a reduction of the original ACL lease.Exeter City's future at St James Park secured for a further 25 years
An extension to the lease so it now runs until 2046 has been signed with the city councilwww.devonlive.com
Whilst some councils are seemingly obstacles to the long term viability of a beloved football club, others look to do the right thing...
