I am lucky enough to be able to afford a concession season ticket and feel for those who struggle to make ends meet (got the T-Shirt)and do manage now and again to scrape enough money to get to see a game as they are probably the true supporter when everything is taken into consideration! We have to look at reality here Luton are top of the league 10 points clear and still only manage 8k ! There is a general malaise in football created by all the money in the Premiership that is not distributed fair enough to enable the feeding grounds to survive better than day to day hand to mouth existance for their constant raiding of the the young talent. Football at the end of the day is about entertaining the paying public and if the fare on offer is average or below then I can see why people do not want to come and sit in a cold lifeless stadium. We the city fans have had more false dawns and kicks in the bollocks than any other fans in the country and unless the team starts to get consistancy and win game after game and build the momentum required to bring the fans along then we will always have a fans base that looks for instant glory satisfaction

A good example is my dad who didn't go last night but I got him a ticket for MK - he's likely seen more games than most on here with many years of being a ST holder, but never recaptured his imagination after the season away at Sixfields and now only goes to an occasional game, I think that was his 3rd or 4th fixture of the season. To suggest people like him (and I believe there are many) have a responsibility to attend games such as last night is laughable.

No one said any fan has a responsibility. Many fans just turn up to games because...well...they are fans. My Dad doesn't bother going anymore although he bought his season ticket, so I understand that. However, I get the point of the OP. If people want to come and see CCFC then they have ample opportunity to do that every other week. If they only want to see big games and can't get tickets then, well, I won't lose any sleep over it.

There is nothing special or drastic about yesterdays attendence. (6,897).

Thats a Leauge 2 game getting a Leauge 2 crowd.

Look at the last home game vs Swindon (8,643) 1,280 were away fans.

So the crowd really depends on the away numbers. People get a bit hung up about attendances, never understood why people care about who is not at a match.

That's fair comment, I had the ST's for 20 years and benefitted from the cost savings and preference on away tickets and big matches. Northampton broke that cycle for me and I haven't found the motivation to get fully on board again. I want to go now and then but understand when I can't get tickets for some of the games, it's just life. I do think that it is overpriced for the casual supporter though and quite a few others dropped out over SISU/Sixfields so its also a case of perhaps sitting on my tod and that doesn't appeal much !

Yes I have a ST Holder. And no I didn't take 3 extra tickets. The reason, No one could be bothered. But I suppose I'll be inundated with requests for tickets for Brighton when they are on sale.

The Accrington attendance will be a big indication of how many people are truly staying away. We should be getting a crowd towards the late teens.

Just over 2 years ago we got a crowd of 18,000 against Port Vale just after Christmas (albeit 1000 or so away fans) and that was at full price.

If you're sitting at home next Saturday and are not going because you can't be arsed or would rather sit in the pub then you deserve the criticism.

You'll struggle to find a day out in the country where you can take a family of 4 for a tenner.

Definitely a factor.
Don't necessarily hate the Stadium just the god awful closed stands and rattling around in it, utterly depressing.

Yes if you are even only a casual supporter, especially local with small travel costs, you should make an occasion of this game. I'll be abroad so a bit pissed off really as I could have cobbled together a reasonable mob to make a day of it.

Not all car parks are free. Just Prologis Park.
Others pn the link are nearer and cheaper than the onsite parking
