Some Help From The Villa? (1 Viewer)

We are hearing that Aston Villa forward Nathan Delfouneso is a loan target for Coventry City before the close of the transfer window. Coventry are chasing a new striker with Leon Clarke seeking a move from the club after handing in a transfer request amid interest from Wolves. Delfouneso is currently back at Villa after a loan spell at Blackpool earlier this season, but Villa are thought to be willing to loan him again and Coventry are hoping to win the race for his signature.

Thoughts?

Hasn't yet scored a lot of goals but being playing at a higher level. Why not give him a chance.

Can't do any harm ... like the above poster says, if you have a willing participant rather than a guy with itchy feet ... it helps !

Hopefully he signs but we really need a striker with experience as well.

Didn't SP say he did not like the loan market?

Anything is better than no fit strikers and playing defenders or a 16 year old in that position.

Nathan Delfouneso had good potential way back when but has never really produced, never looked a threat in the Championship with Blackpool this season, I would be happy to get bodies in through the door, but is the player Pressley wants? Probably not, signing Delfouneso would be a real gamble considering he is going to be on a decent wage and isn't very prolific.

I'd rather we give Courtney Baker-Richardson a chance over Delfouneso.

He's consistently used the loan market throughout his career both in and out. Might not like it but is a frequent user.

Seems we wont get him anyway now. Villa want a championship club for him.

He played mainly on the left wing for Blackpool, didnt really create many chances and hardly ever scored, very rare he started a game and if he did he never finished it,there must be better players around.
