Morning all, thought some of you may be interested in this
I’m not sure how the author could think that Birmingham lost money on the ground-share as it looks like the fees received were only £300,000 less than the total fees Birmingham had to pay for use of the stadium - and would have had to pay if they were sole users of the stadium.Morning all, thought some of you may be interested in this
Those Checkatrade games with around 1000 fans would have been a real waste of money.
Thanks - it’s no surprise at all. I’m sure Boddy at the time claimed this was a good deal on F and B revenue - he did of course fail to mention the huge rental the club signed up for
Yeah he also said they lost £250,000 for the five games at the end of the curtailed season, it's not like they had to shell out an extra 250 grand above their own rental deal.I’m not sure how the author could think that Birmingham lost money on the ground-share as it looks like the fees received were only £300,000 less than the total fees Birmingham had to pay for use of the stadium - and would have had to pay if they were sole users of the stadium.
So what was it done for ? Was it for a woman scorned. ?As many said at the time clearly not a deal done for financial reasons. Add in the missing crowds and it was basically more expensive than the Ricoh pre rent strike.
It was obviously to put the strain on Wasps and get a deal.So what was it done for ? Was it for a woman scorned. ?

The club got really lucky that covid came along and we got promoted at the same time. The Championship money secured us and the lack of income fucked Wasps so we ended up with a reasonable deal in the end.
I doubt any of us will ever knowWhat was being offered in 2019?
I'm guessing it wasn't as good as the deal we have nowWhat was being offered in 2019?
Very interesting post - thanks!Morning all, thought some of you may be interested in this

That's one away game I'll definitely be going toIf we get kicked out by the invisible untraceable company that owns the ground for non payment of rent do you know of any half decent Championship grounds we can share ?
