Because they care.
That passion is why 3k people descend on a shithole like Preston early on a Saturday morning.
You can’t have it both ways
Re the Robins reaction, it can be interpreted in different ways.
For me, he’s probably as angry and pissed off ad we all are. I like the fact he gave it back, it shows he cares and despite the mild mannered, composed MR we see 99% of the time, he proved the external MR we see isn’t necessarily what the players do.
Also, if I was MR and some pissed up idiot was having a go at me, I’d react too. Want him sacked or otherwise, he’s changed CCFC for the better, and he’s probably wondering if that’s been forgotten.
What effort ? Did I miss something ! I'm just back home and after following city home and away since 1984 there is no heart to that team . If you think I'm going to stay and clap them off after that performance then your in dreamland .Absolute tossers. Waiting behind just to have a go at the players and staff. None of us are happy, but how do they think that's helpful? If you can't applaud the effort, just get out of the ground fek off and have a beer. Plenty of time for more measured reflection.
NothingWhat was captain Sheaf doing when this was happening?
This onus on Sheaf being critical to the team’s success is becoming more and more ludicrous, imo.Nothing
Big difference between ' not an ounce of effort' and high effort. Every one of our defeats, bar Leeds, have been by a solitary goal. It's a struggle at the moment, and we need to hang together with the team until they come through it. Doing a Game of Thrones 'shame' castigation of players doesn't help a bit.It looked very lethargic.
I didn't see this high effort that people are mentioning.
He was captain for large parts of last season, including the pathetic performances vs Wolves and Man Utd.This onus on Sheaf being critical to the team’s success is becoming more and more ludicrous, imo.
I would rather have a captain who can lead, rally the team, be the managers voice on the pitch; lift heads when they’re down, and instil confidence in those around him.
He does none of that, and I feel he is part of the issue with this team. Just my opinion.
we wernt sold a dream. We were sold a gamble and anyone that is pissed off because they havnt won that bet needs to give their head a wobble. There are no guarentee’s in footballI have never abused the players at a game, nor do I boo at the end of the game, but it’s not hard to see why fans are furious at the moment.
We were sold a dream and at the moment it looks like we’ll be playing in League One next season.
I think you are confusing the literal sale of Premier packages which is a gamble with the metaphorical sale of a dream, even an expectation, that we would be challenging for promotion in 3 out of 5 seasons and that we would be giving it a “right good go” this season.we wernt sold a dream. You could see the difference a player like that makes when we played SW a few weeks a go. Bannan was that player we needThis onus on Sheaf being critical to the team’s success is becoming more and more ludicrous, imo.

Call it what you like dreams dont always come true and you were sold an if we get to the prem not whenI think you are confusing the literal sale of Premier packages which is a gamble with the metaphorical sale of a dream, even an expectation, that we would be challenging for promotion in 3 out of 5 seasons and that we would be giving it a “right good go” this season.
We were sold a dream and if things carry on as they are it will prove to in fact be the nightmare of relegation.
Anonymous the first half v Man Utd.He was captain for large parts of last season, including the pathetic performances vs Wolves and Man Utd.
Yeah, everybody around us clapped them. We always stay behind and clap, home and away, regardless of result or performanceA clear minority though.
Everyone around me clapped them off. I felt weird standing and not clapping. People were arguably too positive.
Yeah because he’s only ever performed in 1,5 games for us.Anonymous the first half v Man Utd.
Sheaf lauded for 1.5 games of football.
Should of cashed in. But would of probably wasted what ever we got.
Call it what you like dreams dont always come true and you were sold an if we get to the prem not when
I’m sure Robins said “promotion is the aim” in one of his first interviews this season. Not “we want to give it a go”, not “give us time” but “promotion”.It’s this revisionism that I can’t stand.
The club, Mark Robins, and Doug King all built up expectations more than anyone this season
Now I’d have far more respect for them all if they came out and said “the season hasn’t started how we were expecting”
But to just deny that they built up any expectations and suggest it’s all come from the fans is just gaslighting
Just no need for this sort of language to describe another City.Because they care.

But it’s our fault for having big expectations? Fuck off.

Funny how many on here never post for months until we hit a shit patch or arnt doing very well and they all come out in force calling for Robins head or slating the players.
this place is one hell of a toxic place made up of numbers of toxic so called fans who Im sure harsly ever go to games but love to call for Robins head
It’s mostly a very negative forum anyway, so when a run of form like this happens it’s like a lottery win for people to cut loose & start demanding heads on a platter.
Says the bloke who needed multiple accounts on such a negative forum and doesn't go to games.
Obviously a nerve touched there, but all good.
He’s not suggesting that you stay behind and clap, he says just bugger off if you don’t want to. He’s being critically rightly, of fans who scream obscenities at the players. Read the posts if you want to reply. What effort ? Did I miss something ! I'm just back home and after following city home and away since 1984 there is no heart to that team . Don't bring me into this! I was expecting a decent push at play-offs.I'm nor sure that everyone apart from dreamers is expecting Premier League football, just top ten and an ounce of entertainment would be great
