Bryan Richardson just text me to let me know that “Operation Premiership” is back on
If we were languishing in the bottom 3 after Christmas there’s no way King would wait for the 5 years to be up to judge the situation.
Well we certainly couldn’t afford to sign that level of player - when we actually did sign the two players you mentioned.I agree. I think it would take a lot for us to get to that level. We have a strong team but lack that extra bit of class that we had with Hamer and Gyokeres. I don’t know but I don't think we can afford to buy that level of player,
Where have you seen this. There are no reports Callum Wilson to Norwich
So he can’t score against them as I think he has a really good record against them.Made up surely - Newcastle want to sell him, they reckon for 11m - West Ham want him
That is Callum Doyle not Callum Wilson, different players; already information on. Doyle transfer on other threads.City close to sealing Doyle deal
Norwich City are close to making Manchester City defender Callum Doyle their second signing of the summer.www.pinkun.com
not the origin report i saw but just seen it on this one as well- might have been cov tel
wasnt his actual plan something like "make the play offs 3 out of the next 5 years, with one of them ending in promotion"?Obviously because that would not fit the 5 year plan??? Promotion doesn't have to be instant but he will expect us to be at least competitive in the top half. Although progress won't strictly be measured by league position.

or have i made the play off bit up?
if it was, we are only allowed one more year out of 4 not making the play offs to be on track according to DK
perhaps, he's probably seen £ signs though and wants to try for both again i imagineHe wanted a cup run last year and got it. Perhaps he has learnt a cup run and a promotion push don't necessarily go hand in hand?
Exposure as well?perhaps, he's probably seen £ signs though and wants to try for both again i imagine
dont disagree but how long has it been since we had a setup at that level at all?Whilst it is fantastic that these positive changes are happening.... in reality they are just bringing us up to the level needed to compete at the top end of the championship.... and still don't really put us on a competitive footing with the relegated clubs.
Hate to put a dampener on things, but its possible we may never make the Premier League (or not in the next ten years or so).
I do think a large portion of our support think that promotion in the next couple of seasons is inevitable.

Lisa? He's joining the same day Stansfield joins us
Re 'speculate to accumulate' isn't Doug basically still up on the deal following the Vik and Hamer sales?
Wasn't it Paul Fletcher who started Operation Premiership?Bryan Richardson just text me to let me know that “Operation Premiership” is back on
Yes it was, it came after “Instant Success”, which nearly resulted in instant relegation until Adams took over.Wasn't it Paul Fletcher who started Operation Premiership?
When did the "Together we rise" era end?Someone should do a timeline of all of the eras with these ridiculous names.
Right now I think we're in our "join the journey" era.

The “Anywhere I Lay My Hat” was my least favourite era. When did the "Together we rise" era end?
I think this is probably right which is why it was so surprising we didn't add some loans in January when we were fifth to see us into the play offs. We might end up really regretting that.Whilst it is fantastic that these positive changes are happening.... in reality they are just bringing us up to the level needed to compete at the top end of the championship.... and still don't really put us on a competitive footing with the relegated clubs.

100% right, R and R were reason for our decline, SISU just made it worse blundering from mistake to mistake.Exactly right. The anti SISU apologists might whine about SISU but Richardson and Robinson really did their best to destroy CCFC.
The damage done by R and R will be long and lasting
Listened to a Gordan Strachan interview about 2 weeks ago and he said most of the family are ST holders at the City.Keane left Islael at end of the season, so currently out of work. Strachan is first team coach at Celtic but as said above has lots of ties still down here.
Lot of money for a player who can't seem to play a whole season without injury.Made up surely - Newcastle want to sell him, they reckon for 11m - West Ham want him
