Perhaps if fans stopped cheapskating out of buying a proper top and patching together their own and spending a little more money, then perhaps we'd have a few extra pennies to fly somewhere..[/QUOTE
Are you saying that if fans buy the official shirt we may see a pre season tour starting from an airport. Naaaah, don't think so for a minute.
Completely understand where CovisGod is coming from. From his point of view, and to varying points mine as well, atm, we have a squad that isn't a fraction in experience, quality(For want of a better word) and quantity of the squad that only just managed to scrape out of relegation last season. We need a much better squad this season just to stay midtable. I have faith in TM. but things are looking a bit diddly squit to say the least. BTW SickBoy, considering you try to come across as the font of knowledge and quick to put posters down, Fleetwood are a 1st division team not Championship.
Aside from the picture on peoples' calendars, not a huge amount really. July tends to be where the real business happens, so if we're another two weeks in and still waiting for a new signing I'll be worried, but not at the moment.
When TM was first talking about making signings he said he was going to identify roles that needing filling and then potential players to fill those roles. He stated that if the first player they tried to sign didn't sign it wasn't an issue as the supply of players far outweighs the demand for them so rather than paying over the odds it is better to wait and take a different player that can fill the same role.
That seems to be exactly what is happening so I see no reason to panic. Of course it would be great to have a settled squad prior to pre-season training or the first match of the season but that's not how things work at this level these days.
Some of you guys astonish me. We don't want to buy a season ticket but we want the club to bank roll a promotion chasing team. 3500 season tickets?
It's call struggling times. What do youdo when you don't have money? You tighten your budget. I personally like the fact we are not going tothis place or that because TM thinks the training ground needs freshening up. I like the fact he won't sign players just to please fans. If he rushed to get players in most would moan, if we started the season badly, that he rushed signed players.
TM is a football manager and an experienced one at that. YOU GUYS are fans, NOT professional managers even you think you know it all. If you buy a season ticket, tops etc, well done but I know for a fact half on here don't attend matches BUT they want the world. FFS GROW UP
How do you know that as a fact, or were you just getting all hot and bothered towards the end of your post? You also lose marks for being impolite and using capital letters for shouting. I'm going to put it down to the hot weather - calm down Simon.
