Hi ALL

Saints fan here, wishing you guys luck on staying up or being brought out if you go down, also just a quick message you may be aware a few saints fans inc myself will be in the away end as our club messed up saying tickets were or were not sold out, so desperate as we are we have brought some from your website, now were hopefully be able to get on the pitch IF we are promoted and celebrate but were be quiet among you guys, hopefully your be on the pitch as well celebrating your survival, shame its not between you and pompey because if it was like they did to us we would let the team were playing win to send them down.

Thanks asaint. And congratulations on your excellent season. If we are going to get out of this mess, I think yourselves and Norwich are the sides we should take as our inspiration.
If it means anything at all, I'd much rather you win the title over Reading. And if not, I certainly want you to get promoted over West Ham. Best of luck.

Southampton are a great example of where relegation has helped a club, hopefully we can follow in their footsteps. Good luck to Southampton in next years Premier League (Probably)

and lets not forget how the saints fans carried our 'SISU OUT' banner into the Ricoh when we played them in the FACUP. Also how close they came to being owned by SISU? Congrats asaint your club has risen from the ashes and ruins of relegation. We can only hope for a similar journey in the coming years.

It did help, you have similar assets to us, decent stadium and training facilities for that league and most championship teams now, so your be able to attract top league one players like we did with facilities also we were lucky that Marcus Liebherr a billionaire brought us and done a 5 year plan to get us to finish mid table in the prem from league one.

Also winning the JPT helped build a winning mentality in our squad, your enjoy winning it even if people take the piss, i think your be better off getting relegated if it means someone will buy you as your be cheaper and will spend 3/4 mill on the squad and clear your debts, trust me no one with real money will want pompey they have no assets you do.

Look forward to chatting to some of you and i will offer my ticket to someone if you guys win sat and have a chance of staying up, it would be mad to miss a great time like that.

Very fair that-though the key is that you were taken over by an extremely wealthy benefactor ;) Always seen Saints as a twin version of Cov in many ways-in terms of history, stature, league performance and so on. Not very keen on Nigel Adkins though; he plays down his teams so much to the point where it's nauseating-otherwise, excellent club.

Yes i agree very similar, only difference is are fans are very fickle, and loads of fair weather fans, going from 19k average attendance in L1 to 45,000 at wembley to now 32k in the championship, anoys me hence why im now having to sit in your end for our game, because loads of fans jumped on the band wagon before my pay day lol.

Coming across from Brighton with one or two others to make a day of it-question is do I want to stay for your promotion party or sod off back to Brighton afterwards? :thinking about: Promotion party it is :p

Every time I've been on the Red Jet ferry from Cowes here on the island on a Saturday to go shopping in Southamton with the missus, if you lot are at home, the ferry is full of red and white. Yet I've never seen any Pompey tops on the IoW to Portsmouth ferry? You've got a heck of a lot of fans here on IoW. They're a good bunch of lads as well. Always ready for a good chat and a bit of good humoured banter when I tell them I'm a Coventry fan! Best of luck in promotion push. The way you guys have shone this season, you really deserve it! :claping hands:

Any idea on how many Saints in the away end.
I've heard 1700 have been sold, with Cov asking for the final Allocation being brought in tomorrow.

This is a joke surely? No Southampton fan will be welcome in our end and if you celebrate a goal you're a brave fool. Will definitely see you all on the pitch though.

I wont be celebrating a goal vs you guys if we do score, i believe there is about 10-15 saints fans at the moment, must are sat together, where as il be on my own, so i shall probs just tell the person next to me why i did celebrate if you score lol i normally sit about 4 blocks away from the away fans so hopefully no steward notices me and i get chucked out, il most likey stand out, unless i go with my brother in law whos a CCFC fan but hes not sure yet as he may have a game.

Will be hard to get on the pitch from the away end, il just show my saints top or tattoo and hopefully there let me if not, i just be happy im there to see us get promoted, and if most of you have left they may let me go on.
