Southend tickets on sale tomorrow. Last seasons trip was one of my fave away days. I think the pub was called The Blue Boar, great atmosphere before and after the game in there. I only went last season to tick it off the 92. Might just make the trip again though as fancy a good away day.

I'll second that, brilliant hour n half in there before the game, really knew how to cater
For the footy tan, live football on the TVs, great music on the jukebox and although
Packed you never waited long because there were loads of proper barmaids.
Even the bouncers were friendly.:):)

Yep, big old pub on the corner about 10 mins walk from the ground, would have been
Difficult not to get an atmosphere going in there, best away pub in years.
But as pointed out above the performance on the pitch was dreadful, maybe the players
Had been in there for a couple before k/o.

That game was the eye opening game as to how bad our season was to become.
The barmaids and door men were game that day, and even tho it was rammed it seemed simple to get a pint bizarrely. was a mad premier league game on the tv too wasn't there?

We were shit that day. I did a check and, if our starting XI that day, only Bigi started yesterday (and he was dire that day). Others in the team included Hunt, Ricketts, Ramage, Tudgay and Henderson who came on as a sub, so perhaps our poor performance shouldn't have been as much of a shock as it felt at the time.

Worryingly we looked even worse yesterday than we did at Southend but that's what happens when you screw up your recruitment so badly.
