In fairness I don’t find that a difficult thing to visualise.
I don't recall saying they were given designer jackets as soon as they landed. They are certainly dressed better than me , that's for sure .
The 66% is ‘non-white’ not just black.
I was mostly criticising the idea implied by some here that in such an area mostly with people who aren’t white, that any white people who were there wouldn’t be searched.Its always going to play a part in certain areas though isn't it?
That's why I used a random place in Yorkshire, if knife crime is 80% white people but 90% of stop and search is non white people then there's an issue.
Not saying solely race, police will have gut feelings as well and will know their areas. I don't think there should be any sort of quota or anything but it will naturally be different depending on different areas.

Don't disagree in theory. If someone's gonna chuck stats and information around though, given what the thread's about, asking about the source (if it's not given) and checking it out is probably a good idea.
and given that I doubt any of us live in the places being talked about, data and reports are probably worth a look if we're gonna share opinions on those places and the issues that exist in those places.

They are from a mayoral assembly report and part of a motion to deal with knife crime. The proposals were from Sem Moema who wanted a commission to look at dealing with knife crime in the black community she represents.
It was supported by Sean Bailey so was a cross party proposal from two senior black officials on the London Assembley who were concerned and the massive decline of stop and search among other things which they saw as factors in non protecting innocent victims of knife crime.

It was a huge part of London strategy under the Blair government. You remember Tony don’t you? The same Anthony Charles Lynton Blair who considered created internment camps on a remote Scottish island to send immigrants entering the uk.
I’m not stirring any stuff up. The proportionality of this crime in this one city is impacting and being perpetrated by one community. This isn’t a racist comment it’s just facts. What I do not agree with is not quoting facts in what is supposed to be a discussion and then have some suggestion of a murky agenda - especially given it’s politicians from that very community who WANT the situation discussed and acted upon
