Obviously the world cup was a disaster, but can anyone see them reclaiming the status that had in 2010?

I think it will be a 4 or more years before they do.

Hopefully England, can get in on the scene while other country's teams are recuperating....?

They had one bad tournament, which they were very much entitled too after winning 3 major tournaments. Still very much a world class side, and still would be a favourite for any International tournament.

England are miles away from Spain, even at their worst.

Spain have good players but struggle to get many goals and if they concede they struggle as although they have a lot of Barcelona players they are missing the front three who cause all the damage there.

Didn't struggle in the last euros, was it 4 they got in the final?

Since then they struggled for goals at the World Cup and in this qualifying tournament the stats may call me a liar but can't really be bothered to look tonight

I think some teams are lucky to have a team like Spain did to have great players in the right positions at one single time. France had the same around 1998, Germany to a certain extent recently. Sometimes alot of great players all hit at the same time (United class of 93 being another example maybe?) which gives them the perfect cocktail of a team.

Spain will always be a powerhouse of world football but they will never dominate like they did previously.

England need to score more goals like they did yesterday. The English 'game' for too long has been obsessed with trying to play everything down the wings and getting round the back. Successful teams play with quick strikers constantly on the heels of the last defender and midfielders who are quick to pick up all the second balls.

We'll find out in November when we play them. Think it'll be closer than some think.
