Fucking hell, its a bit bare in places but to compare it to the Ricoh pitch is a bit of an exaggeration dont you think? The wonderful St andrews pitch is turning into a mirror of the quagmire that we left at the Ricoh - Having two teams playing on it certainly has taken its toll -also noted by birmingham fans alike -

No, the pitch at St Andrews is bare, the pitch at the ricoh was being pulled up by ground staff like a carpet and pulled flat again. The pitch at StAns is bad, the pitch at the ricoh is a serious injury waiting to happen. It's just as bad now tbf
Wonder what attendance are they going to claim?...Having just put the wasps match on the pitch from a distance looks ok in parts. Its not until you see close ups and its not flat and as soon as someone runs on it starts to churn up. The reason it looks ok in parts is due to length of grass compared to a football pitch.
Think you local park flatness. If you played football on it the ball would be so unpredictableView attachment 18547View attachment 18548
Well theres about 90 in the picture.Wonder what attendance are they going to claim?...
I think you’ll find that picture is from the 1970 Cup Final at Wembley! That’s what many pitches were like in those days including Wembley.
At least the grass at st Andrews stays in place unlike the RicohFucking hell, its a bit bare in places but to compare it to the Ricoh pitch is a bit of an exaggeration dont you think?

When i lived just up the road i supported Chelsea - great game can still do the team - on the Pic i think from the right Dempsey , Cooke , Webb , Hollins and chopper - for Leeds i see Alan Clarke far right 7 Peter Lorimer 9 Mick JonesBefore my time but the pitches were seemingly fine in the 70s...
