having seen the other thread actually more interesting what your contribution is to ccfc and acl on a match day i.e. not travel, f&b purchased away from the ground or ricoh parking.
fisher once said the F&B spend (not profit) was less than £2 per person. tickets aside what are you spending on the club eg programs and on the acl eg parking, f&b?

Why is that interesting? It's what happens on the other 340 days that's the point.

I think F&B is often used as a bit of a catchall term. While getting the matchday revenues would be nice I can't imagine there's millions to be made there. The revenues are non-matchdays are the most crucial.

That said if I thought the money was going to the club I'd spend a lot more. At the moment I might buy a program as that is going to the club and then if its cold a cuppa or two. That's the lot.

Even so, it is like £3 - £3.50 for a sausage roll which is awful. Can just go to Greggs at Tesco before and get a pack of 4 nice ones.

I used to always get a programme when I was younger but now if I get them, they just take up space at home and end up going in the bin.

The hot dogs although over priced used to be ok but the latest pile of shite they serve up they can keep especially for around 4 quid each so i eat the other shit called mcdonalds at least its semi palatable

From 1977 to 2012, I went out of my way to spend as much money as I could afford on all things CCFC, much of it for the kids. When it became more obvious that the club didn't benefit from the F & B sales at the Ricoh and then these astronomical 'Admin/Management' charges, plus Administration fees and legal fees started appearing in the reckoning I thought, what's the point, who am I actually supporting with my cash ?
As a supporter of any sports club, whether it be the City, Cov RFC, Bees or Blaze it's important to me to feel that my dollar is actually helping to fund the team that performs on the pitch, Ice, Track !

That's the point isn't it. What do they want to do the other 340 days ?
Why not just open halls, hotels, casino etc in and around Coventry ?
It doesn't need to be the Ricoh surely? TF says it's too expensive anyway and the evidence when CCFC were there initially shows it was just in profit.
If it needs to be closer build on the vacant land between the stadium and Tescos.

Aside from my ticket I'll buy a fizzy drink and a chocolate bar or if it's really cold a hot choccy. I tend to park in the metal fabricators yard for a fiver just of the round about for Car Park A.

You certainly don't believe in consistency.

If we were talking about the profits of ACL at the time we were not playing there you would say that there was no value in the arena as it makes a loss without our football club so Fisher was right that Wasps paid too much. But when it is about the match day spend....which isn't much.....it is all about the income made for the rest of the year when we are not playing there :thinking about:

Used to have a beer before the game, one at half time, the lad would also have a Pie, since the move to Northampton and subsequent I dont want to spend anything there, 1/2 the time I dont want to be there!

I spend fuck all, I go to watch a football match not a pissing banquet, you would think some people hadn't ate properly for a week with the amount of food they buy. And as Nick said if you want grub go to Greggs or Tesco, those Gregg steak bakes are yummy.
