That's ok point taken. Next time I want to say something I'll start by saying something totally different and then claim that I meant the amended version. Easy.Obviously I mean our signings from Europe when I say “our European players”, any half-decent Cov fan knows Saka is Japanese and Haji is AmericanSeems like a proper bellendy point to make tbh, just another Chris-special where we’re wasting our lives arguing about pointless shit
Nope . You stated that they were European players not signings from Europe in your original post. The forever moving goalposts.
So easy I'm now bored with it. I'll leave you in peace to say one thing whilst meaning something else.Fucking hell man get a life (although not sure if I can say that as someone who posts on here, surely we’re all sad on SBT?).
That’s genuinely the first time I’ve actually rolled my eyes after reading a comment. The level of obsession with “moving goalposts” is hilarious, you must only be fishing and unfortunately I can’t help but nibble every time

Chris 1987 does make a valid point. There's a crucial difference between European players and those who play in European leagues, and your argument changed from one to the other. It's difficult to wrork out what your stance is.You might think my arguments are wrong and my opinions are invalid or whatever, but please give me the decency of thinking that I’m intelligent enough to know that Saka is Japanese and Haji is American. Surely you must know that I’m not that oblivious that I thought Saka and Haji were both European?

You may be right in thinking that most know what you mean but I don't.Oh not you as wellCome on buzzard, I clearly mean the players we signed from Europe when I said “European players”. We all know Saka is Japanese and Haji is American, I feel like I don’t need to state that.
If I’m having a debate about our League 1/Championship signings versus our European signings and in conversation I say “our European players”, surely I mean the ones we signed from Europe rather than very specifically “the players who were born in Europe that we signed from Europe”. Maybe I’m not being specific enough for some but I think most know what I mean?
Join the club .You may be right in thinking that most know what you mean but I don't.
where did you get your crystal ball from? It’s got 1-0 Stoke written all over hasn’t it
Fair enoughYou may be right in thinking that most know what you mean but I don't.
EMC “questionable impact” after 62 minutes of competitive football? Jesus ChristBeen some big misses TBH. Kitching, Thomas, Torp, EMC all big money and questionable impact so far. That accounts for more than a quarter of our spend post Vik.

Is £2m big money?
Did you watch us last year? Wright cost almost twice as much and took time to settle. For £4.5m at almost 25 I would expect to see the quality difference up front.
£2m is big money yes. Until last summer it would have been our record spend for twenty years!
Oh come on. You threw EMC in by mistake. He can’t have a meaningful impact in an hour. Or at least not one that can be judged. For £4.5m at almost 25 I would expect to see the quality difference up front.

After last season you’d have thought you’d wait 10-15 games before making such rash comments. For £4.5m at almost 25 I would expect to see the quality difference up front.

Yeah if Eccles was a doubt then maybe we should have gone with Lati, gone now though. Our sole issue is midfield.
Yes most didn’t play well but when the system is inefficient it’s hard to play well. The defence had no protection and the attack had nobody linking it because the midfield was overrun. Can’t even really blame Allen too much because he isn’t a 6
This defeat was mainly on the coaching team in my opinion. Hopefully lessons are learnt for Oxford.
