Remind me of us around 2009. Silent, depressing stadium with nothing around it. Fans on the backs of players within minutes. Midtable obscurity despite a squad of decent names.

A lot of people in the past have criticised the Ricoh but it's lightyears ahead of the Bet 365. Did not even hear a rendition of Delilah today. Virtually nothing by the ground.

Wasn't too long ago when they were in Europe and pushing the top 10 of the PL.

They were far better than us in the first half but absolutely horredous in the second. Worse than us at pumping it into nowhere. Wilson had a field day winding them up.

Yeah, you could tell they literally could not be arsed. It's like they are all fed up.

We were the same for many years in the Championship.

Interesting talk from them of an embarrassment of riches in the squad. Unlimited money available but constant underperforming-maybe best ditching the expensive signings and doing what we wish we could do

When I was a kid in the 90s they were Div 3... might be there soonish!

They went from averaging 13-15k in the Championship to consistently selling out 27k in the PL.

They now get around 20k. A decent increase on their pre-PL era.

We were a lot quieter than usual but it's expected when the match was so poor and their was nothing coming from the home fans to create some banter.

better atmosphere in the concourse before the game than the first half. Second half we were class both on the pitch and in the stands. Fast forward to 5 mins 25

Stoke had two big issues for me:

A) Lack of players who love the battle. Our quality players (Hamer, Gyok, COH etc) all love to get stuck in just as much as they love attacking. You can't say the same for Baker, Smallbone, Campbell.

B) They tried to pump crosses in, the exact wrong thing to do against our defence.

Bizarre team. So good in the first half, but ran out of ideas. I thought the lad Campbell was meant to be Prem quality? Fadz pocketed him all game.

Hamer’s goal looks even better from the angle that lad used. The league is so hard to predict though that it wouldn’t surprise me if they went to Norwich and won or we lost at home to Rotherham. He shouldn’t be too despondent and we shouldn’t be getting ahead of ourselves

Lived in North Staffordshire for over 25 years and believe me the folk in this neck of the woods are ok people but boy do they take themselves too seriously when it comes to football especially Stoke.

If he's honest he will never have a future in Broard casting .you have to be hell bent on yourself and nothings else to do that.
