I think Wolves would have to agree playing their left back out of position first
Not exactly unheard of though is it? Turning an attacking full back to midfielder. We also have no pace up top, so I can see why the suggestion is made
i think the point is he’s a winger in the process of being turned into a WB by Wolves.
drop Giles? nah
I only saw the last 20 mins last night (I’m 7 hours ahead where I am) but in that time Allen looked fantastic. He was all over the place, picking up loose balls, taking on a man, playing decent balls into decent areas. To me, just on that 20 minutes, it looked like he’s adjusting to the pace and intensity of the league.
No he is playing giles at cam because he is an idiot
Yeah it’s mad to suggest an attacking wing back moving to an attacking midfield role, like that’s never happened before

Yep it really ishe is a winger turned into a wingback and is doing bloody well this season I don't get the hate at all, I suppose some people always need a scapegoat
How am I giving the bloke ‘hate’?. I’m saying he’s been better going forward than he has defensively. Do you think Giles should play over mccallum in that LWB position?

He got moved further forward when Kelly came on in place of Shipley and he is defo better in that attacking position rather than deeper / defensive mid one.
Also, it seems to me like his fitness has improved a lot.
It's almost like we hadnt played competitive football for almost 6 months and the players needed to get their match fitness up....
Took his ‘goal’ really well. Was it godden offside? If it was, I thought it was a bit silly that he was.He had a really good game. Has looked decidedly average until last night.
Been thinking myself today maybe Hamer could be used further forward with O’Hare behind GoddenMarosi
Dabo rose mcfad osti McCallum
Kelly sheaf
Hamer ohare
Godden
I suggested this a couple of weeks ago and was absolutely dumped on by the 'never play a player out of their normal position' brigade. By taking McCallum in the first place, it must have been in Robins' mind. Why drop the man who has offered the most attacking potential so far for Shippers or Allen. Not exactly unheard of though is it? Turning an attacking full back to midfielder. I don’t think Hamer would have any issues playing further forwardHamer, Kelly and Sheaf (who has become undroppable in 20 minutes) in the same line up - interesting. Requires one of them - Hamer - to play out of position...
I agreeI don’t think Hamer would have any issues playing further forward
Aren't wingers just a form of attacking midfielder?Got to love this site. Playing a winger at AM is the craziest idea ever encountered in football, but sticking a guy who has played DM and RB his entire career behind the striker makes perfect sense.
