Last week he quite cockily said "i will tell you where di canio will go, he is going back to swindon" to a caller on the phone.

Sometimes wish he would stop stating things as fact when it is a rumour or his opinion!

It is not the fact he says rumours but he doesnt say "i heard this" he says it as fact from an insider or something!

Like when he was arguing with the guy who started that drako rumour that somebody at the club traced it and he knew it was a leicester fan even though he was arguing with the guy who did it!

He got involved in a twitter conversation between myself and another twitterer last week, because we were being critical of CWR and their post match conference questions. He got quite defensive over it i felt, even though we said it was nothing personal against him, even though it was about CWR in general! Still kept coming back for more

Stu Linnell is an utterly vile person - almost as bad as that Jan from the Sky blues trust. Been unfortunate tohave run ins with both in real life - odious simply doesnt cover it. How the BBC a publicly funded organisation can actually continue this guy to spread his lies, his own personal agenda. He berates anyone who doesn't fawningly agree with him 100%.

He tries to be controversial like John Gaunt, but doesn't have either the intelligence or integrity to do so. No wonder the only work he can get is an hour a week on a saturday with the other simpering Clive eakin.

Just heard him stroking the ego of Steve Waggott tonight - made me feel physically sick. What about the right to reply Eakin? Don't you realise if you have one side of an argument week in week out, it is bias? Why not invite ACL to put their side across?

Or is that too much like doing your job?

How terrible that even a small part of my licence fee goes to pay the constant simpering and arse-licking of these two people. They are a disgrace to the people of coventry

I cant say if he is vile as i have never met him but agree about having both sides of the story! Why not get acl and sisu on the radio at the same time, that would get listeners?

Thanks for coming in mr fisher, we have a surprise in that acl and the council etc are all here too!

REALLY put people on the spot and force answers! We dont know if the club have a list of dos and donts for interviews though..

I was at a Cov game years ago with an ex girlfriend, and she said " who's that annoying dickhead sat over there, pointing to her right", it was Stuart Linell, who was moaning and whinging every pass and effort by the team, he is one grade A wanker.

The questions asked after games by CWR have always been weak but I would imagine that as soon as the manager is asked difficult or probing questions, the club would refuse access to them. Having said that, no one expects a Paxman style interview but rather something a little less wet.

Seems a little extreme. I don't particularly like Linnell but I think Jan's a good guy, I don't always agree with him and he can be stubborn at times but he's nice enough. I certainly don't see your reason for attacking him here.

Clive Eakin is a pedant in the extreme, I can't listen anymore. I heard that dan clip and he was almost creaming himself in the background, like it was his life's dream for a fan to ring in not knowing the score. Rob Gurney used to be decent, proper city fan. Ruffled a few feathers after relegation in 2001 and was moved to radio WM because Richardson complained about his response to the 'this could be the best thing to happen to the club' comment after we'd just gone down at villa.

Rob Gurney was a great bloke. I worked with him when I was at CWR. Just going on from an earlier post, I was having a go at Jon Gaunt a while back on Twitter (one of the few times I have used it!) and he really lost it with me! He just didn't have an answer! He called me all sorts because I was getting the better of him. Then when I said I used to work at CWR he blocked me! Prick! :jerkit:

My 'tweet' conversation was around their of ability to ask questions around what they see, and fans see during the game, i.e why not ask why we can't seem to score from corners when we have so many, subs etc, and also if they ask a question, and get an answer that isnt quite an answer to the question (if you get what I mean), why not challenge the answer for a more accurate answer rather than just moving on.

What annoys me is when they ask a question and provide an answer for the question already at the end.

I don't think that story ever had proper substance ... did it? But agreed, Gurney is an excellent broadcaster. Surprised he never progressed beyond BBC WM. That said, he was practically a kid when he was with us, so still plenty of time.

Get Gurney back!

I remember listening to us stay up at spurs on the last day and the broadcast cut off because he jumped up and with excitement and pulled all the cables out

Thats the sort of bloke we need broadcasting

The only reason Linnell comes across like that is because he is so passionate about the Sky Blues.

As a kid I got to look round the Mercia studios, and he seemed a decent guy.

Hes at it again today! Talking about how 'he can't see' us going into admin, and can only see us going into liquidation......all because the CET say so!

My dad just said 'well if a man like Linell thinks that will happen then.....' I stopped him before he could finish and said 'he's a twat...'. He didnt finish his sentence
