It was Spence, good going forward but not as good defending

Bleedin ref. Had he let us play on for another 3 mins we would have won 4-3.

Or maybe 4-2.

Big apologies - their commentator called him Willis more than once (he looked smaller than JW - more Bigi's size). Anyway, now I fully understand your 'Ay?' comment !!

I know its only a friendly, but that was pretty poor.

Yeah, you can't take too much from it, it's just a friendly, but we didn't look like we were able to compete particularly (despite two late goals).

Not worried yet, but I'd personally say we need at least 5 of 6 permanent signings plus a few loans to give this season a good go.

Biggest concern (if there is any concern to be had in what amounts to a training exercise) was the long hopeful through balls we kept trying to play.

We looked a bit weedy strength wise too, but there were a number of kids in there.

Yep - after one punt from the back early in the second half, you could clearly hear a frustrated'possession' shout from one of the coaching staff. Thought Gadzev was very intelligent in keeping things moving in the middle of the park. Looks like he will be an important player for us - keeps things simple. Also, did anybody else notice Jody Jones look a bit iffy (leg dangling) in a couple of 50/50s. Looked more likely to injure himself by not fully committing a couple of times in quick succession.

I simply put that down to the fact it was a friendly though. Not many challenges at all on show to be honest.

There were a few half-hearted challenges. I guess it is only a preseason friendly though. No point getting stuck in and risking injury at this point in time.

Here's hoping the signings arrive next week so the squad begins to take shape, severely lacking on that showing. Harries could have a big season ahead, potentially Spence too. Pleased for Tudgay to find the net twice, will do his confidence the world of good.

I've said it before and I'll say it again, Mogga seriously needs to bin Burge, Finch and Hayes in my opinion, never good enough at league one level, even as squad players.

Kyle Spence really stood out for me in the game. Could be our wildcard pick for the season.

Tudgay showed us he knows how to finish. Maybe he needs more game time this season.

Biggest issue we have is that we don't have a defence at all. The youngsters are too raw and not strong enough build wise right now.

Bit of perspective - we lost by one goal to a team who missed out on a Europa League spot by 2 points and have played champions league football within the last few years.

Actually with nothing better to do I just checked the Sturm Graz site and all but one of the team they started with against us today are from their first team squad.
I only watched the first half but they looked decent and didn't give the ball away much
