Did we though?Maybe but we very nearly signed Stamenic who’s obviously now at a prem team, I think that’s exactly the sort of player we should be after, doesn’t cost the earth, already plays at a good level but also has a lot of potential. These players are definitely out there, it’s just whether our scouts can find them and whether another team beats us to the punch or not.
The way that ffp incentivises the sale of homegrown players is ridiculous and disgusting. It's an ffp scam
Nottingham Forest buy a Villa youngster for £4 million and Aston Villa will buy a Nottigham Forest youngster for £4 million.
Both clubs can counts the sale as £4 million 'profit' immediately but the £4 million they spent can be spread over the duration of the contract.
So on the accounting books it will count as £4 million revenue for each club but only £1 million spent (if a 4 year contract), leaving both clubs as +£3 million for ffp purposes
Got Sheffield United written all over it
If we do bring Worrall in, you'd expect ons of Latibeaudiere, Thomas or Kitching to leave surely?
Thomas is clearly the better player with a higher ceiling, amd we spent 4 million quid on Kitch so I'd suggest Lats
Did we though?
Stamenic seems like an obvious bait and switch to me. Go through the motions with us, make some noise about it and angle for a better move. Then a prem club comes in and he gets the move he really wanted.
According to Saddle he met the management, went to Ryton and the CBS and had pretty much done everything but signI have a better theory.
Cov approach Red Star. Fee agreed. Red Star tell player. Player says no, I want EPL.
The story was only released from one source in Serbia. And it's snowballed since then.
And that's what attracted Forest.
Apart from our initial contact with him, I bet Cov haven't even spoken to the player.
I obviously don’t personally know but from what Saddle says it sounds like he nearly signed for us and it was just the late wage-increased offer from Forest that did it for us.Did we though?

Why would he fly out here, sit and chat for a while then say, sorry I'm looking for EPL ? He would have known our league position before he got on the plane.According to Saddle he met the management, went to Ryton and the CBS and had pretty much done everything but sign
Because he would have been willing to join if nothing else turned up. But if it did he would change his mind. Why would he fly out here, sit and chat for a while then say, sorry I'm looking for EPL ? He would have known our league position before he got on the plane.
Nah he’s golfing with de geaStill can't believe more questions aren't being asked about this golf trip Robins is on. He's only just back from another holiday apparently. Probably missed out on Stamenic because Robins was on a stag do in Benidorm or was inter-railing across Europe.
He also stated that he didn't think he'd get that. What's the general consensus. Are we likely another signing or two in the next couple of days? Preseason starts next Monday and MR stated he wanted the new bodies in for it
... MR stated he wanted the new bodies in for it
Shouldn't he use a set of clubs?Nah he’s golfing with de gea
It will be interesting to see who replaces Liam Kelly as club captain. I assume its likely to be Sheaf unless an announcement is delayed which may indicate either movement of Sheaf or a ready made personality coming in.
Also still lacking a number one goalkeeper if we are definitely trying to get one. A GK is integral to a settled squad
No, he's a one club man.Shouldn't he use a set of clubs?
A new Government regulator needs to close this loophole, it's the same at Watford, swapping players between clubs owned by the same person. The way that ffp incentivises the sale of homegrown players is ridiculous and disgusting.
We don't want sneaky fuckers at this Club. only nice, honest and polite players, please. Why would he fly out here, sit and chat for a while then say, sorry I'm looking for EPL ? He would have known our league position before he got on the plane.
not de gea?It will be Sheaf
Because he would have been willing to join if nothing else turned up. But if it did he would change his mind.
I doubt if the regulator if appointed , would have the power to do that.A new Government regulator needs to close this loophole, it's the same at Watford, swapping players between clubs owned by the same person.
I thought that had been outlawed years ago??
And KitchingWe don't want sneaky fuckers at this Club. only nice, honest and polite players, please.
No just Sqeaky one's!! Oh bugger wrong quote!I doubt if the regulator if appointed , would have the power to do that.
Interesting definition of fact.Sounds like we're so invested in this happening that we're willing to believe anything to justify it going wrong.
He was never coming to Cov. Simple fact.
Interesting definition of fact.
Which is why my view on this is not a fact. It’s an opinion.Deity disagrees with me again. As expected as the day ending in Y
Beats all the excuses being rolled out to justify his apparent change of heart.
Did you personally see him talking to anyone at our club as you haven't mentioned if you did ?
No. You, like everyone else including myself, are all going on hearsay and assumption.
So they steal young players from EFL clubs at a knock down value rigged by EPL clubs, then sell them on at inflated value in collusion with each other? What a racket and close to being fraudulent. Why Premier League’s 'swap weekend' could be another PSR loophole
Have Chelsea, Villa, Everton and Newcastle found a PSR loophole?
With several Premier League clubs trading home-grown academy players between themselves, is this another PSR loophole?www.bbc.co.uk
Plus... It could be conceivable that Olypiacos paid Forest a loan fee in excess of what they bought Stamenic for, thus actually making a short term profit on actually buying a player!!!It's an ffp scam

I am normally first to challenge when people say that things are facts when they are an opinion! However, this one could actually be a fact although I would have thought only Stamenic would know!Which is why my view on this is not a fact. It’s an opinion.
