If we play 433, I have a few questions. Who plays wise left? EMC presumably, but then what about Haji? Same as number 9, Ellis or Haji? Same with number 10. Presumably Rudoni which leaves KP spare. The permutations are mind boggling
Because he wouldn’t sit on the bench all season, we would rotate the two especially during fixture pile ups. He's been a regular in this league for two seasons and is far too good to sit on the bench for a season. Why would he come here as he wouldn't displace MvE?
Tatsu plays golfPersonally, reckon one of Wright or EMC will play RW.
Ahead of Tatsu ???Personally, reckon one of Wright or EMC will play RW.
That wont happen. Maybe as an alternative if injuries happen but not startingPersonally, reckon one of Wright or EMC will play RW.
I dont think it will be long before EMC forces himself into that positionWright will be first choice on the left
He would have perform extremely well to dislodge our top scorer and assist maker thoughI dont think it will be long before EMC forces himself into that position
I see him having a similar impact as Sakamoto did last season . Of all the signings he's the one I'm looking forward to seeing the mostHe would have perform extremely well to dislodge our top scorer and assist maker though
Wright will be first choice lets be honest. It would take a significant drop off or injury for that not to be the caseI dont think it will be long before EMC forces himself into that position
SVH is not realistic, signing one player from a club does not mean that a player they value at 5m plus, who has a poor attitude, was rubbish and unfit and played even less games than you would think and wants to be a first choice striker is realistic.SvH was never going to be a first choice at Norwich and he went there. He didn’t really get much look in at Norwich as he was behind Sargent etc so it is quite a realistic transfer, especially with our experience of dealing with Bologna for Binks.
Another one could be Tom Cannon at Leicester who was injured most of last season. With Leicester giving Vardy a new contract they might feel a loan this season or at least till Jan might be better for him to get minutes.
Whoever comes in as second choice here will get plenty of minutes.

Fewer (I can't resist it!)SVH is not realistic, signing one player from a club does not mean that a player they value at 5m plus, who has a poor attitude, was rubbish and unfit and played even less games than you would think and wants to be a first choice striker is realistic.
Cannon is not realistic either, Lesta are going to want him to play the majority of games if he is loaned out as anything isn't great for his development.
a 3rd striker option is going to be someone like Ntelo, cheaper, not expecting to start all the time and with the physical attributes that we can improve.
EMC will start loads of games, he's not there as a "finisher" off the bench. We needed more depth as last season showed and we have it. A 3rd striker in and we are set to go up front.
I was looking at top talent Japanese players the other day and they have some real quality, you have players like Minamino at Liverpool and Kubo at Madrid which are the more known, but I was looking at players like Ao Tanaka, Kuyru Matsuki (however I think he's gone to Southampton) Hosoya is a real good forward, there's also CM's Sota Kawasaki, Riku Yamane and a versatile player who can play in midfield and upfront in Jumpei Hayakawa (that's his actual first nameFor the backup striker you have to look in leagues where wages are much lower than the Championship. A top scorer from Japan, Ligue 2 or Poland won’t mind coming in as a backup because they’re going to double their salary to make the move and still be low-paid in comparison to Simms and Wright.
A guy like Mao Hosoya is Japans starting striker at the Olympics right now. I think he’d definitely accept a move to Coventry.
Why not? EMC and Wright are both players that have been identified as players that will be in the Prem. That wont happen. Maybe as an alternative if injuries happen but not starting
Wright has played AM and RW at various points in games last season. Perhaps not on the first day of the season, but the 3 will be Simms, Wright and EMC. Sakamoto will remain an important play but just in a different capacity imo.Don't be surprised either to see Wright down the middle sometimes
Never heard of himFew on here suggested Marc Leonard… he’s just joined Birmingham

Sakamoto will start the season 100%.Wright has played AM and RW at various points in games last season. Perhaps not on the first day of the season, but the 3 will be Simms, Wright and EMC. Sakamoto will remain an important play but just in a different capacity imo.

I don’t think we spent £5m on EMC to sit him on the bench… Sakamoto could make a legendary impact role player.I do think people are still for some mad reason concentrating way too much on a 'first 11'. Imagine being able to bring EMC on for Haji or Saka rather than the rubbish options we had last season, or starting him and being able to bring on either of them... the games come thick and fast in this league and you need to be able to change it up.
Sometimes he'll sit on the bench, sometimes he won't. That's literally my point. Whoever is performing better will be the one who ultimately gets more minutes however, cost won't come into it.I don’t think we spent £5m on EMC to sit him on the bench… Sakamoto could make a legendary impact role player.
So we’ve spent £12m on left sided players to sit one of them on the bench?Strongly disagree.
Wright and Mason-Clarke are both right footed and we won't play either of them as a traditional winger.
Both will play on the left and look to cut in to attack the goal, rather than play wide and cross the ball.

That’s a given over a 50 game season, but Robins will have a starting 11 for the most important games in mind.Sometimes he'll sit on the bench, sometimes he won't. That's literally my point. Whoever is performing better will be the one who ultimately gets more minutes however, cost won't come into it.

Yes, because we are succession planning and ensuring that we have a squad of players who can compete. So we’ve spent £12m on left sided players to sit one of them on the bench?
Mason-Clark played more or less an equal amount of games at RW before he joined Peterborough.
We paid that much because we wanted a young talented player. No guarantees anyone is first choice. If you expect him to start every game you will be very disappointedI don’t think we spent £5m on EMC to sit him on the bench… Sakamoto could make a legendary impact role player.
