If someone comes in for Gnonto in the next couple of weeks, they really might have a tough time going up.
We're starting Jamie Allen
Yet have aspirations of Top 6?
We've had the same issue now for a year, 3 windows. We do not have someone good enough to keep us ticking over without weetabix Sheaf. Let alone alongside him
That's why I'm miserable, it cost us last season and it will cost us this if we don't sort it
wasn't that just bullshit. seems odd that there would be a buyout set to expire in the middle of a window. seems a bit fishy to meIf a club was going to come in for him they probably would've met his fairly nominal release clause, which has now expired.

Having read the wording on Hamer’s release fee I took it to mean that it expires when this window shuts.Pretty standard time for a buyout clause to expire as it gives the selling club time to replace the outgoing player.
Rutter's (Leeds) release clause expired last night at midnight, hence why Brighton have come in last minute.
And what if the right players aren't available / don't want to join / join Nottingham Forest at the last minute? We're starting Jamie Allen

Well that’s why Stamenic was about to be signed for millions. It’s not like the club isn’t trying, and we also all know exactly how it would go down if we then just went for any old player to add numbers who was then an expensive waste of a squad space. We're starting Jamie Allen

They've all been tapped upI know it's preferable to sign players on a permanent basin
What a dripThey've all been tapped up
Understood. I’ve now gone from not panicking to not panicking.Loan window and transfer window are the same and have been for about a million years now
Probably because we pursued another optionDidn't we get Browne down here as well and he chose Scumderland?
God that kit! Even the bits that are supposed to be Sky Blue are a dirty mid blue. AwfulDay 20 asking for a proper centre half.

Might be talking about Jack Whatmough. Went to PrestonWasnt there a guy from Wigan we were supposedly interested in on a free at one time? Whatever happened to that?
God that kit! ... Awful
Oi! that's my favourite kit.
It's just my opinion...that's allThat's a pretty wild take. 2nd in the assist table last season and there's not a Leeds fan I've spoken to or seen online that isn't gutted he's left.
I think we need another CM and another RB option though.I like the squad and am happy if we keep it as it is.
PUSB
CM is absolutely an area we need to recruit . Would be satisfied with a loanee at RBI think we need another CM and another RB option though.
Not all of them cost a fee. Some clubs want their young players to get game time. Obviously have to pay some wages. But loans cost money.
Are you sure Sky Blues Talk is the forum for you?I've no problem with someone having the completely opposite opinion
We've had successful loans in the past on the other hand and you were a big advocate of using loans weren't you?Yay another untested loan from the prem in the middle of the park. Just what we need, Ayari absolutely ripped it up last season, can't wait
Eccles statistically one of the best defensive midfielders in the leagueCompletely with Saddle on this one, yes we’ve strengthen our depth in attack but the midfield and defence is still lacking.
You’d think after 3 windows we’d have had a bit more quality come in at midfield. It’s the crucial area of the pitch and the part that consistently lets our performances down whenever we end up not winning. It’s hard to get excited about a season when the only defensive midfield options outside Sheaf are Allen, Eccles and Torp.

When is a prem loan not an untested academy player?Yea I am when it's not someone untested academy player in such a crucial position of the park
The ideal is like, say, Callum Doyle who had a season in L1 with Sunderland before stepping up to the champ with us as a loanee. When is a prem loan not an untested academy player?
I think the issue for me with academy loans is that they are always markedly better the second season.Yea I am when it's not someone untested academy player in such a crucial position of the park
