Why do you care so much about spend? I’m sure Doug and the recruitment team know what areas need strengthening and the budget they have to do it with… They won’t be throwing money at players for the sake of it. The signings happen when they happen - I'm sure multiple conversations are ongoing across many targets and positions - some will land sooner, some later... some never. You can't pass up on a target because it's not happening in the perfect order.

Robins had been chasing Walker the season before too but he chose Lincoln. Had Robins got Walker, we probably wouldn't of signed Godden....I have actually blocked that piece of history from my memory.
