Coventry City and Hull City race to sign Josh Windass - sources
Football Insider has learned Coventry City and Hull City are in the race to sign Sheffield Wednesday star Josh Windass this summer.www.footballinsider247.com
Depends how much we're actually going to invest in 'squad' players. I'd hope for better but I've got a suspicion we may have to be more realistic with some of the signings.Honestly wouldn’t mind windass. Decent backup at every forward position
Don't worry, Stoke have already been linked with himHope not.
Hopefully Stoke jump in again and offer him too much money.
Seems a very stokey signing , let him go thereDon't worry, Stoke have already been linked with him

Bring back the car puns!
I doubt we will take such a Cavalier approach. Was worried it would be an Astra-nomical price!
Great veteran at this level who’s not playing for a large squad role, will be on relatively low wages as he’s coming from Wednesday and can cover any position in attack. Definitely better than Godden, delusional to say otherwise, one has legs while the other doesn’t. Not a flashy signing we want but he’s not coming in to start, he would be for depth and support. On a free why not?Windass would be smart business in all honesty
He'll be on decent money at Wednesday, he went there from Rangers. He's a reasonable player but not sure he's really what we need.Great veteran at this level who’s not playing for a large squad role, will be on relatively low wages as he’s coming from Wednesday and can cover any position in attack. I thought you liked Robins? As long as we’re not Reliant on him.
This contest is over, give that man the $10,000I thought you liked Robins?
We’ll need some break down coverage incase he gets injured thenHe is really injury prone, rather we avoided
We won't be signing a world beater for squad depth.Sean McGuire came in on a free, he turned out to be a flop, so why would Windass be a world beater?

Such a random comparison isn't it. Makes no sense.Yeah we also signed Arjan de Zeeuw for free and he was shit. What are we thinking. Let's never sign a player on a free transfer ever again.
Who said he is a world beater?Sean McGuire came in on a free, he turned out to be a flop, so why would Windass be a world beater?
Tbf isn’t that what we were asking for O’Hare pre ACL? He wasn’t exactly setting the world alight either.10 million
No way! We need to hold on to our best players if we're serious about challenging for promotion, that's surely why we've got them signed on long contracts. MVE, Wright, Simms, EMC and Saka are the cornerstone of our future. Would like to resist offers for Sheaf too, but he may be more easily replaceable and losing him would have less impactMy Leeds supporting mate has said they are apparently looking at MVE to solve their right back issue. They did show an interest before he signed for us.
Hopefully nothing in it.
