That reads like he didn't want to encourage the fans as a group to boycott? Can't see much wrong with that, it would be like somebody from the trust quitting because they didn't agree with the Trust encouraging fans to go inside sixfields (fair enough both ways)

He resigned because the group wanted to remain impartial. Allow all to make there own minds up. Some go to Sixfields, some don't and everyone gets on well enough. The guy has a chip on his shoulder

What a total waste of time this group is, slag each other off for an hour, then get down to the really important business of finding a raffle prize for the pre match arts and crafts group
Is this group for real

Biggest load of bullshit I have ever read. And I have done lots of reading on here. I even read what I post

So did they have a meeting and discussed nothing as all they wanted to do was have a go at anyone not bowing down to them? Are they trying to grind us down so we don't try to question them about anything?

I know that if I had any sympathy before this it would have evaporated. And some might still wonder why certain parties have given up trying to talk to them.

Every single member of this group has a unique contribution to make to this process of consultation. We make up a very wide tapestry. Whatever our angle, we have a privilege and a responsibility to identify and work towards a common purpose for the sake of the club, its supporters and also for the sake of this city. I trust that we can ALL join together in this endeavour.

I've just read it again , to see if I had misread anything earlier . I hadn't unfortunately.

Just wonder what City he's on about . You couldn't make it up . :jerkit::thinking about:

Yes but Jonathon Strange resigned from his position with the LSC because he didn't agree with the majority decision to boycott Sixfields. so he doesn't seem to spek for them.

Ian Davidson does that (he's in the minutes).

Sort of, from what I can gather he misunderstood the position of LSC,.

LSC respect each individuals choice to go or not, some do some do not, they still have a beer. As it should be.

LSC decided it would be inappropriate to have a function at Northampton, which seemed to be the issue that set Jonathon off. Not sure if anybody really understands his issue. Or it was a misunderstanding

There is an e mail list, so the minutes do get sent around. Not sure how you get added onto the list.

I read this last night and also noted the contradictions. As I understand it the individuals participate as individuals, they may also individually belong to other groups but I do not see how they can be held responsible for what the other groups do or do not do.

Good grief, what utter crap, the trust members get pinned into a corner whilst Tim and Mark are absent, how Jonathan Strange is that. Ladies and gentlemen the Suck Cock Group is born.

Honestly I am actually telling the truth . He does it regularly apparently .

I was gonna make a bit up about him offering and someone throwing a football at his head , but thought that may make it sound a tad unbelievable

This to me is another example of turning fans against fellow fans. This is going to make it a lot easier for them when they pull the plug on the whole lot. SISU fans vs ACL fans, Sixfielders vs boycotters, SCG vs SBT ... if we were all united in this they wouldn't get such an easy ride. Such a shame, especially when you consider the PUSB lyrics.

I can't bloody believe that this has happened again - It is the bloody 'Supporters consultative group' - It is the clubs way of communicating with its fans.

We are deluding ourselves I fear and our club is dead - they don't give a shit about us and neither do our fellow supporters who somehow feel special because they follow our team through thick and thin.

Just to remind you - our club are not playing in Coventry ever again!! Read that again - Our club will never play in Coventry again if ML and TF have their way???

And yet it is my group the SBT who are the ones who are questioned about their support. This group of people who have hundreds and possibly hundreds of thousands of years of support for our club and ML and Jonathan Strange question our support and passion - ML, TF and JS please leave us alone and let us die - this slow torture is painful

Read them now and I am flabbergasted that these are the important matters for any group to consider not least a 'Supporters consultative' one. Who are these unelected imbecile's!! SBT Jan and Moz? What is going on - did you really think that you should not be allowed a voice or is this completely incorrect. Other people can express themselves better than me but any number of questions that were raised with Simon Gilbert on the thread on here are worthy of being raised at this meeting and none of them were.
Our club is on life support and Jonathan Strange is interested in finding out who wrote what on a website - Well Jonathan - I hope you read this. You do not represent me, I cannot believe that you have the best interests of our club at heart and as chair of this group you need to start asking the difficult questions before the club you claim to love ceases to exist!

I would imagine that when you are verbally attacked by fellow supporters its quite difficult to ask pertinent questions when the relevant people aren't there.

This thread seems to have produced a rare thing ... an almost unanimous view. I hope that Jonathan Strange reads these posts and then does the honourable thing by firstly apologising, not just to the Sky Blue Trust but to all Coventry City Supporters for his abject failure to represent us properly, followed by his swift resignation from the SCG. All those who supported the motion to restrain the SBT - I understand that Jan and Moz abstained so the motion was not unanimous as reported - should also resign.

Perhaps then a new SCG can be formed at which the important issues of getting the club back to Coventry, the financial situation of the club, investment in the team for next season, restoration of fan unity etc. can be seriously discussed and action taken.

It seems quite clear that Strange did this to get onside with those in charge. I wouldn't be surprised if he told others that they would be next in line if they didn't follow suit and out of fear went along with it. Either way, it has been shown to be a total sham with not an ounce of credibility. Nothing new to a fair bunch of us but now crystal clear to all.

So anybody who doesn't agree with you should resign? Isn't that sort of shite part of the bigger issue?

Not sure if Nick's question was answered. Along with Joe Elliott the Trust set up the Joint Counsil several years ago (long before SISU arrived) which has since changed it's name to the SCG.

Thanks for answering. I am not sure if I remember that far back but wasn't it meant to have a member from each section of fans. Corporate, trust, london, ireland, singers corner, diamond etc. Not necessarily representing a group officially but to get a wider range of opinions?

I'd say Kingsharvest had the most sense and hopped off this mediium that Is'nt fit for purpose any more and has become just another divisive tool to broaden hostilities.

No they should resign because they are failing to do a decent job. They are so busy attacking the Trust - either directly or supporting those that do - that they have completely lost sight of the real issues. Fiddling while Rome burns.

The motion to shackle the Trust was disgraceful and all who voted for it should hang their heads in shame.

Then ask you self why do the club feel happy to to speak to you?

Correct.

Nobody has an electorate, how could you have an electorate, there is no list of Supporters, there is probably not a common definition of what constitutes a supporter.

I think he got on through his past association with the London Supporters, an association that no longer exists.

You will see the comment about sending a substitute.

What is the use of representing a group at these meetings?

If your view clashes with SISU they just spend half of the time bashing you and then spend the rest of the time talking about things that have nothing to do with what we want to know.

Q What is happening with the finances at our club and will we be viable next season?

A So you don't want blue seats in the new stadium.

Q That answer was nothing to do with my question. Can you answer it please?

A I have had enough of you attacking what we are doing. You should resign your position.
