Hmm, can still have somebody sold from beneath you, forward planning mean you at least know of options, but short time scale before deadline mean if options fail, you end up a man down.Doesn't the fact they had a replacement lined up, albeit one that fell though, not indicate that they had some idea he was going?

its not that we don't allow for it, more that we don't have the budget for it. So we're back to the same thing, we're asking the owner to put money in with little chance of return, its not a case of sign one or two players for relatively small amounts and we're pushing for the Prem. All clubs make bad signing. We dont appear to allow for it.
We don't appear to allow for injuries either. Madness in a year like this with periods of heavy fixture congestion as it was let alone with us losing games because no one at the club realised the pitch had turned to marzipan.

The gamble every year until they go will be how little they can put in and have us survive in this division, although in all honest I doubt they would lose any sleep if we were relegated.
There appears to be no exit strategy other than hope for the best so sadly until someone wins EuroMillions and makes a silly offer we're stuck with them and that mins they will look to minimise any money they need to put in, even if its just a short term loan to cover cashflow issues.
Biggest surprise is that this seems to have shocked some people who for unknown reasons were expecting signings and a serious push for promotion.
Doesn't matter, we've got our new ground to look forward to.The 10 year deal is being eaten away

I’d imagine we have to pay well over the odds and then it’s impossible to find them another sucker.
There’s been a fair bit of bad luck, Walker forgetting how to play football at Pompey, Kanes last minute injury, Hilsners ACL, etc. Dacosta again nearly went and has gone out on loan (which frankly is a fucking miracle)
It’s only really Waghorn who is highly paid, not playing a lot, and come nowhere near going. And he’s in a lot of peoples preferred lineups for the next game.
All the players you mentioned are in their final year of their contract, I wouldn’t be surprised to see a few gone before the summer.

Kelly is highly paid, palmer is highly paid and o hare and hamer are the highest
Wage bill has to be near £20 million
But they’re all first teamers
Kelly most certainly is not, Palmer is considered as a sub player as are waghorn and Walker. So 4 of the biggest earners aren’t starters and Moore will be a pretty big earner as well
“If we can stay in the division that’s a huge thing for us” there you go then
Doesn't matter, we've got our new ground to look forward to.
You not counting the Comic Relief special that was Burton?I wonder which ground it’ll be. Perhaps it’ll be Villa Park or the King Power this time. Really amp up the drama in the final part of the trilogy.
He’s had a few snipes at them in fairness to the extent you might have to consider your Robins SISU lover stance
I think he’s starting to lose his love at the Sisu Temple
Didn't he sign them all and I bet they are all on decent wages too.
It's not like the bench against Luton was full of kids.
Waghon
Walker
Palmer
Panzo
Moore
Then Eccles and Burroughs, they are youngsters. You would think when Kane is back fit he will replace Burroughs or Eccles on there.
I would not say "no faith" it's just he do not do subsitutions a lot. Very often we see what we think are obvious times and he does not.Myself i think it is his biggest faultobviously robins has no faith in the bench. Only sub Wednesday was panzo and that was forced. Godden was blowing out his arse after 60 mins but still no change. Shame at millwall. Scorching heat, down to 10 men and first change at 80+ mins.

Definitely not proactive the other side score and the players come on .The "horse and stable door "come to mind.Like i say his biggest fault2 ways to look at it. Robins is not pro-active with his subs, he usually waits till something happens. Same time, he moans about the squad and amount of games so plenty of contradiction
Another tell tale sign that things may be coming to a head. Robins spinning out the “glass ceiling” line for a second time in as many weeks doesn’t sound good.
Depending on how this season goes I’d expect season tickets to be probably halved in numbers as the owners have again reverted to type.
