Imagine if you actually went to support them?
Women’s football has only just become popular so can’t compare. The lionesses achieved the stadiums record ever crowdHow many went when Cov Ladies played there before?
I don’t support them I support arsenal but I would go occasionally.

Well the last women’s game at the CBS has dwarfed every crowd we’ve ever had there.
If Coventry Ladies were to play Arsenal Women, there would be a bigger crowd than Coventry men v Arsenal men for sure
Because it was England on the back of a major trophy.
Same way it was a bigger crowd than Chelsea ladies get.
I think with no segregation/ blocks closed off for the crowd, they were able to sell more tickets than we can for any game. For that reason, it will probably remain the record attendance for a while.Because it was England on the back of a major trophy.

Why would we play the teams coming down?Shame the police limiting the end to 5000.
That's 1000 - 1500 tickets unsold at £33 for the Birmingham, West Brom and Sunderland games.
Equally next season Everton/West Ham/Leicester/Leeds/Sheffield Wednesday would sell it too depending on who's up/down.
It was also a one off, it was cheap tickets.
Whack Cov Utd Ladies in there and see how they get on, they can't even afford to play at the Butts.
If people want Cov City Ladies to be successful, they could probably get down and support them

What does cov Utd have to do with this, might as well tell me how sphinx women are getting on?
exactly, so arsenal women playing here would sell more than the men. I don’t understand what the argument is
So why hasn't the Butts been sold out for Cov Utd then?
I use Cov Utd as an example because they recently played Arsenal Women.
It's completely different to a one off international with cheap tickets off the back of winning a trophy.
Pre winning the euros so is irrelevant. We have sold over 40k for our game v Wolfsburg and counting, women’s football is a big draw now. Anyway there’s a thread for this in the off topic section, let’s not derail this one
Point being, if you want CCFC mens team to plough money into CCFC women's then a good start would be to get down and support them yourselves.
You won't, you're a weird WUM.

You’ve got to think 4 figures. It's definitely important to get on the stage before WSL gets too big. Man United jumped in at a good time.
What do you think the crowd would be for a one off game under the Coventry City badge?
With due respect, where are 32,000 coming from to support Coventry and Chelsea ladies? The past 4 Arsenal Women fixtures have had 3900. That's lower than the highest ever crowd at that ground when Boreham Wood played At Alban's City
Arsenal women, like Chelsea, United etc have had some huge crowds this season and it's great to see.
If we drew Arsenal in the cup, it would sell out very quickly.

about 800 turned up at the u23 semi this week
FriendliesWhy would we play the teams coming down?
A practically zero cost solutionYes your right, they can use the shutters.

Probably all of the people who went to watch Cov Utd Ladies v Arsenal Ladies I'd imagine.
That's why I made the comparison with us playing Arsenal.
Before the euros and not Coventry city so dreadful comparison really
Will publish here mark h will be putting them on ccfc website at 4pm
Forgot to mention the safe standing question was a surprise
As in, Dave and Doug were surprised?
It’s a daft question anyway as it won’t happen as we don’t control the lease - the questions about that, railway timetables and Sky TV in the concourse are just nonsense

Then why were they planning to build a fence to separate the corner last season at a ground we don't control the lease of?
There's little reason why Frasers would be against safe standing.
It’s happening they have been looking at it for the last 12 months due to persistent standing in blocks 14-16 especially at the backIt’s a daft question anyway as it won’t happen as we don’t control the lease - the questions about that, railway timetables and Sky TV in the concourse are just nonsense
