We may have sold more than last year. But I think most people who wanted one have got theirs now. So they could extend the early bird but I doubt many more will be sold

I agree, a lot of people holding off to see what happens.

The likelihood is that SISU will let a load more players leave, then blame everyone else for their inability as owners to provide then club with replacements.

We still stand to lose:

Keogh
Cranie
Wood
McPake
Bigirimana
ROD

as well as:

Platt
Norwood
Nimely
Clingan
Eastwood
Clarke Harris
who have already gone.

That's potentially 12 players moving on!!!!!

No interest in watching CCFC while SISU are in charge, still an armchair fan of course. The club is simply unrecogniseable from the one I had a season ticket for over nearly 25 years. I don't recognise the club as being CCFC at the moment, it's a pale, ghostly imitation.

Those on here believe all the stories to be true or false but the discerning factor is you are 'in touch' with the goings on and this is why to a man you might think the season tickets have already reached a peak.

The majority of supporters i must remind you are not members of any trust, forum boards or the like and so few actually even read the local rag these days.

I personally sense folk might just accept our fall to league 1 with a new embrace of optimism that a more successful winning team may be seen at the Ricoh next season.
Not saying they will but just saying the psychology of it is not what everyone wishes for on here. We are the minority opinion. If they have sold 3.5k then I think they will sell more and probably as much as any previous season or even more. Season after season in the Championship we were given no reason to buy but now I actually think there is more reason to buy a season ticket than before.

Perhaps the majority of fans don't read forums, belong to any supporter's groups or even read the Telegraph however I do think the majority take an interest in which players we buy and sell and the general leadership of the club. I think that's where your analysis falls down.

The ignorance of fans who don't read the telegraph or look on the forums always surprises me though. Someone the other day was telling me that the club were trying to "sell the Ricoh to the council and rent it back"! And this person goes to about 10 games a year!

My point is that they were two of our first team players and will still need to be replaced.

I would never question the work rate and footballing prowess of Nimely.
I made a comment about the way kduffy "WORDED" his statement about O'Donovan.
There is no comparison whatsoever between the players...O'Donovan is s**t, but in the cold light of day, Nimely's "Goals to games ratio" is "Pisspoor" O'Donovan started one game. They have BOTH scored 1 goal last season, and in fairness to O'Donovan...Nimely played 99% more games.

I cannot understand any fans reaction to relegation as a good opportunity to sell more season tickets, where is the logic in this theory, the crowds will be smaller the general quality of Football is poorer for sure.
If your theory is correct maybe we should have dropped into div one, and sold even more season tickets,

I clearly remember Brian Richardson, suggesting, that relegation to the championship "Might not be a bad thing" well I think he was a bit out with that one don't you.
Relegation from the premiership, has cost us dearly and put us where we are at this moment, and that "somewhere" is at the very brink of extinction.
Perhaps if we don't read the papers, watch the t.v or read the forums as you sugest, then the whole nasty thing might just go away,I have posted before on this subject, and still say, that under this shambolic attempt to run the club, anyone who buys a season ticket is taking a big risk, it won't be long before the Sisu/Hedge fund imposters, are asked to submit proof of Budget, intentions, accounts, to the footballing authorities, not to mention rent arrears to the council, Sisu /Hedge fund, appear to be in the most dire financial,state, since they "Saved us"and unless the Hoffman bid, if there ever was one, still holds any credence, the chances of CCFC turning out next season, are no more than slim.
So Paxo, my well intentioned pal,I hold a very different view to yours, positivity abounds for you, but mine is based on reality.

If we put a winning team together and go on a good run we will get more fans in to watch us. Who would like to miss out on a promotion push if we are top or close to it? If we have a shite squad and shite team and go on a losing streak our crowds will go down. Who would want to be made more depressed than now?

Until we start the season we will not have much of a clue what kind of squad we will have. We know what SISU did to our squad last season. Have they learned by their mistakes as they have admitted to? Once players like Fatwood are off the payroll at the end of the month there will be more funds available. Will they be used though?

Yes you might have a good idea on how things will go. You can't state things as a fact though. A guess is a guess. A fact is a fact.

I initially stated that I would not be getting a season ticket but slightly changed my mind following the spin coming out of SISU post relegation, Joy was on the scene, "we will learn from our mistakes" etc.. - over a month on - there has been nothing to convince me to change my mind. A week before the end of the early bird promotion, Shitsu has failed to confirm their intention to fund the club next season as part of the production of its outstanding financial accounts. This is not a minor oversight by Shitsu they are along with the rent holdbacks playing poker with our club. I think it is clear that the club is an irrelevance to them now and that whilst they won't deliberately ruin our football they will underfund or liquadate / place in administration it if it is their interest.

Most clubs who have been relegated or have had a poor season change management or playing staff to attempt to show the fans that they will be right at it next season. All we have done is to release players, retain the manager and increase the uncertainty over the clubs future - a Shitsu marketing masterclass.

The problem was that Plat and Nimely had great assets, but neither of them was goalscoring. Cody has no assets, aside from goal-scoring (or at least, getting into goal-scoring positions), and it does unfortunately seem to take him 4 or 5 chances before he converts one. Talk about trying to build an attack from bits and pieces-is it any wonder we couldn't score goals?!

Yeah, that's how they got me last year with the "King is staying" and "same budget as last season" shite. I simply won't swallow it from them ever again! This "piss off your fan-base" strategy HAS to see them getting away with it increasingly less over time, surely?!?

On this I agree with you 100%. McDonald is never going to contribute unless he scores. That is ok if he gets 20 goals in a season but the fact is he is mid 20's and still not established. The main factor as to how we do next season is going to be detirmined by who we sign and I suppose in goal terms they can't be much worse than those that have gone.

Well the Gillingham footage suggested he was great on the counter, and can read a target man (was it Akinfenwa?). Whereas his mis-reading of Platt suggests he couldn't-or maybe hints at Platt being a worse target man (in the air) than many perceive him to be. I expect Thorn wants a Collins/Cody partnership...it might work, but we need a 3rd and 4th option, too.

Collins has scored 28 goals in 83 games.

He is the sort of player (young, free etc) that would have been on the radar under Ranson, but you have to think the embargo will mean we lose a fair few of these deals
