steven pressley will be throwing a shit fit if sisu go get him now after not letting him go after him last year
Maybe Mowbray and Venus will be able to persuade Smith more convincingly and he will be attracted by the prospect of playing with Armstrong, Cole, Murphy rather than playing under Pressley alongside Mcquoid and Shaun Miller.

Wiki says he's been on loan at Barnsley and scored 0 in 12 games, we dont need another Fortune do we or am I missing the point?

To be honest even Armstrong would struggle to score for a team near the bottom.

He got 21 in 64 for Swindon, a team what was near the top and creating chances.

Reading Mowbrays comments earlier he seems to be suggesting he wants the option to go 4-4-2 as the pitches get heavier. With him looking at wingers I would think he wants a striker who can head a ball. Smith would be perfect.

Wigan away will be into the Rugby league season for a start don't think it'll be in good nick for Covelona style football.

I rate that Nicky Ajose, mobile, pacey and would fit alongside the likes of Armstrong, Murphy, Maddison a treat and the possible new guy Hooi

I read the interview the same way, sounds like he wants more of a target man to lead the line for Armstrong to play off for when we need to be more physical on poor pitches.
