Not happy, but like most are saying, we would have taken a draw before the game. Dissapointing the way it happened.

So overall, relatively satisfied.

It is a good result against a good team. Could have been a great result. Perhaps more people will appreciate Wood after this?

hey listen we had two injuries that did have an effect on our game. Early second half we had a couple of chances and had we scored then it was over. We didn't they fought hard at home and came back when we were weakened.
It's onlt annoying because we were 2 up at half time and it's always hard to take. This was a good result though and we must look at this as a much better and consistent performance all round. That is another step up from the last game and I say bring the next game!

I agree with your last 2 sentences, however if two injuries can have that much of an impact on our team then were screwed. The suggestion being that those two players were the only ones keeping the goals out means had they missed the whole game then we would have conceeded about 5 goals.

Also you say we had a couple of chances that would have ended the game, Swindon hit the bar in the first 5 minutes, so (given our inability to win when going behind) could have also ended the game in their favour.

Ok I thought people were happy as they said
"Good result. I'm happy with that" and "Have to be happy with a point all things considering"

Maybe I misunderstood them

Yes, cos the record books and table says nothing about us winning 2-0. It's a point away against one of the best teams in the division and it means we remain unbeaten.

I'm happy. Never want to throw a lead away, but under the last few managers we would have lost that today.

After the way this season started!? Too bloody right. We were dead and buried four weeks ago. Slowly rebuilding, gaining confidence. That's a great point on the whole.

I talking specifically about my feelings on the result.
Most people would have taken a point before the game though.

We need to start winning though or were going to get stuck in this division. This year is our best chance at getting back up remember.

Id have taken a point at the start of the game and i still take it now. Theres plenty of signs of improvement under Robins imo.

Thought Di Canio showed poor sportmanship at full time. Yes he took some shit but fans do. Theres no need to entice them. If fans do what he did they get punished. If only someone from the club ws there to witness it (i dont think there was)

couldnt agree with this more. we cant be happy with a draw when you are 2-0 up in a game with 13 minutes to go!

Its saying a bad thing about us if we are happy with drawing from that position, whether that would have been a good result at the start of the day, its simply not good enough to lose a 2-0 lead with 13 minutes to go. im not doing some stupied 'Robins out' overreaction or anything at all - clearly making great progress still, but part of progression is calling out negatives, and this is a definate negative that continues to happen and needs to be worked on.....

dont let the positives make us ignore the negatives that need to be worked on. MR interview after the match will be interesting to me. I dont want to hear 'we would have taken a draw at the start of the game' I want to hear 'we should win when 2-0 up wuth 13 mins left to go and its not good enough'

Oh, no doubt, but we started so badly this has to be seen as an acceptable result.

it's not a good point. Swindon were 2 leagues below us last season, an average side who we were beating comfortably. Poor poor poor result.

It's still a good result, I would have taken a draw at the start of the day. Disappointing to draw from two nil up mind but the game changed when Fleck went off.

I'm not happy with a point we should maybe have found enough to win but I'm satisfied with a point.

We are a better team than 3 weeks ago. Lets be sure to accept that Swindon are a very capable side and they fought back hard in the second half. They didn't beat us did they? We drew at their place and had them frustrated and facing defeat for 70 minutes.

We were not bad, we were not lucky we were not unfortunate. We scored twice and they scored twice. Simple as.

Couldn't agree more. If we take the attitude of there being nothing wrong with throwing away a 2-0 lead then we will never get anywhere.

We have to accept that today was unacceptable. That way Robins can investigate why it happened. If we just ignore it then it will happen again!

Did you forget the three wins out of the previous four matches?

We would all have settled for a point today. Good result.

I agree, I mean I am not suicidal but I don't see how we can be happy with it when we were leading by 2 with 15 mins left

Taking the result on paper only it looks a decent result but that doesn't mean I am happy with it

Remember him doing this as a player. If he wasn't in football he'd be doing PANTO!
His politics are shit too.

But this isn't last season. They are a League One club, we are a League One club. Swindon are one of the strongest teams in this division so a point is a good result.

Everyone is quite rightly disappointed with losing the two goal lead though of course.

No I've not forgot them. I've also not forgotten the 0 wins in 13 before that.

Do you think Sir Alex would be happy giving away a 2-0 lead with 15 minutes left just because he won a couple of games before it?

Hope you're not forgetting that Robins has said this is going to take time to turn things round and there will be no instant fix and that we were very much piss-poor before his arrival.

Still work in progress and the manager has only been here 4 weeks.

exactly, it all needs to be relative. yes Swindon are a decent team in this league, yes a point would have been good enough before the game for me..............but it is not good enough at 2-0 with 13 minutes to go!

Its not the worst thing in the world but it is definately two valuable points lost from the position we had put ourself in today, and I hope Robins realises that. dont get me wrong, im sure he will, im just saying its the complete lack of ambition that we already have as fans that frustrates me. We all want to stay on the 'positive happy bandwagon' and believe me I do too, but I dont want to do it and just ignore massive flaws.

Any team getting up / making the play offs from this division will not be coming away from games happy when they have blown a 2-0 lead with barely ten minutes left. I am a bit shocked how everyone is just throwing out this 'id have taken it at the start' it wasnt the start!!! it was 13 minutes left! we would have gone MENTAL about this a couple of months ago, when a certain Mr Thorn was manager.

A point is fine as long as we beat Notts County next week - Win your home games and don't lose your away games is the blueprint for promotion/play-offs. Lets not lose perspective, think back to crewe and shrewsbury at least we can be proud of the team and manager again

At no point have I blamed Robins at all. I imagine he knows that we shouldnt throw away leads like that. I have been impressed with him since he come in, but my concern is that this team is mentally weak, and if that is the case then Robins won't be able to do anything about that.

Wasn't trying to imply you were blaming Robins.

Just saying we were terrible and he has said it's going to take time. No quick fix and it'll take time for him to stamp his authority and game plan on the side.

Winning games when you are winning 2-0 with 13 minutes to go - THATS the blueprint to promotion/playoffs

I dont wanna hear any fans who say they are happy with what happened today talk about play offs. cos you are basically saying you are happy with mediocrity....teams that lose a 2 goal lead that easily this often, do not make the play offs

We were excellent first half, but sat back way too much 2nd half. It was inevitable that they were going to score atleast 1 and once they got 1 they were always gonna get 2. V.disappointing but would have taken a point before the game. McGoldrick was different level to everyone else on the pitch. Special shout out to Moussa who worked his nuts off today.
