Leaving white people aside , would you have preferred it to go on and on and on.........until what ?Taking the knee may have ‘run its course’ but the message it promotes hasn’t ...and especially because fucking poor over sensitive white people are ‘tired’ of it..
I use ‘over sensitive’ and ‘tired’ in the polite sense

That's what " woke" means isn't it ? When people are offended by any views that disagree with their own ?you have listened to to much left wing propagander pal. have a read of the BLM website and look what they are doing in America. Typical lefty call everyone racist or be offensive because they dare go against your own views
I think taking the knee has run it's course. Time to move on now.
I don't know what virtue signalling is but it sounds a bit stupid.

I'm dying to call someone " woke" in the hope of sounding clever but I'm just not quite sure. I thought this thread would be an ideal place.
Yes look them up. The march that some of the organisation did in London dressed in paramiliitary uniforms shouting black power and raising a fist. Try doing some research instead of believing the media. They don't stand against racism they promote hate, anarchy and anti establishment.
Nah that’s straight up bigotry.
Woke is like left wing red pilling. Like “woah man the blinkers are off and now everything is racist/sexist/transphobic”
Its no longer a show of respect but a symbol of a marxist political movement BLM wh if you did a little research Into them believe in anarchy, devolving law and order and promoting hate rowards white people. Taking the knee is a show of black power just like the KKK raising their fist and shouting white power.
if this is what you want to show soladarity towards then You are in the minority.
the point has been made now move on as it has no place in a civalised society.
there is all ready a anti race campaign in football so why are we being bullied into taking the knee by the media who are just virtual signalling for a person who was a violent criminal and the two autopsy's show died of a massive drug overdose not because a police officer put a knee on him.
I’m all for equality. I am concerned that this is going to end in tears. The stuff coming out of America is developing towards paramilitary hatred on both sides. It calls for restraint. Taking the knee does not offer anything other than the opportunity to tie laces.
well done QPR and City for taking a stand for equal rights!
There's prominent 'left wingers' especially in the gaming industry with exactly those views, anita sarkeesian and Neil Druckman immediately spring to mind.
They won't do it when fans are back in anyway... The reality is a huge portion of people don't appreciate it... Fans being away from stadia is the only reason this is allowed to continue....
Hopefully it ends soon
I get the impression it still matters to the black players. If that’s the case we should do it as a team. And if that’s the case we should do it as a club. That’s part of the ethos we’ve built here under Robins. Where We Go One We Go All
Just be honest with yourself, do you think it will be happening when stadiums at are back full? I don't.
IL place money on it
I don’t know. TBH it’s not my fight. As I said if Dabo, Mason, Baka etc are there saying it matters to them I’d expect the manager and the rest of the squad to back them because that’s the ethos we have. Equally if they all said they couldn’t give a shit I’d be happy to leave it. Robins said it matters to the team, so I’m happy to go along with it. I don’t see a problem with the message that all members of our squad matter, in fact I think it’s very on brand. I’d be very disappointed if fans came back and booed something the players were doing, which is what you seem to be suggesting. But not surprised no I won’t be takin you up on that bet.
I did notice on Match of the Day that from day one they'd always show players taking the knee. As the weeks went by it was actually cropped back from around 20 seconds to about 3-4. At this point I began to think the producers of this programme were just going through the motions and that eventually they'd leave it out completely and see if anyone noticed.
Are Cov and QPR the first teams to drop it ? If they are we'll soon see how much appetite there is for it to continue. One more weekend I shouldn't be surprised. Of course, the premier League might want to push it a bit longer.
For those who think it should continue, just how long should it go on ? Six weeks, a year ?
I think alot of players are doing it, and sportspeople in general... Just to keep the peace and not be vilified.
I mean look at how they tried to create an issue last night, it's almost not worth it, just bend the knee and pretend you care to keep the peace...
That's not solidarity, just get rid
Blackkklansman is on Amazon or netflix. It's a very good film in itself but it shows how awful that organisation is.To the bloke who compared BLM to KKK, I’ve got to say that is one of the most stupidest comments I have heard on here and that’s saying something!

I have said myself as a POC I don't think i would take the knee. But the anger towards those that do I find a little bit weird.
Unforuntley racism will exist forever as even people who will say they are not racist clearly have either anger or fear in them. Human nature I guess
AgreeI think the problem with your first paragraph is the backlash if everyone did and you didn’t.
Oi Nick, first righty lefty intervention, FYIa marxist political movement
Calling someone a gammon makes me laugh mate. Its a typical left wing snowflake reply to anyone that doesnt agree with your lefty views. Havnt you got a students union meeting to go to. Anyway im off to work so ill leave you and the other leftys on here to think of some more insults to call someone who dares to disagree with you.Lots of predictable racist hatred from the ignorant raging gammons on here today. Sky were fcukwits for making a big thing about it but too many of the usual suspects on here using this to have a pop at BLM again. So sad when I was buzzin after last night's match. LAST!
Oi Nick, first righty lefty intervention, FYI
I don’t like the term ‘gammon’ either but you’ve literally just referred to them as a ‘snowflake’. Have a good day at ‘work’.Calling someone a gammon makes me laugh mate.
