We’re not Liverpool, not sure this would interest that many of their listeners tbh.Yeah, it's bullshit to get attention and Talksport listeners.
No need to worry Dan’s been carefully studying himIt’s a sad reflection of how desperate people are that they’re welcoming Jordan with open arms…and actually believing it.
He’s non stop over there. A bit like Grendel on here!DHarvey is hilarious. I remember him rating players after not seeing a game but going off what he was told.
More trees and flowers neededI think with roads like the A444 you get a bit of buck passing between the council and Highways England about who is responsible for what. I agree it is a grim entrance to a city
Wasn’t it Ken Bruce (not the Radio2 bloke)?Who was they guy that was interested, until Sisu let his name slip (on purpose) ?
on 2nd thoughts, don’t say, in case he walks again….
Its main mechanism for making money is through rent so it's hard to see how it could be that profitable at the same time as the club. There is no money in putting on concerts as has been comprehensively demonstrated over the last 17 years.
It needs some significant investment to make it a more attractive conference venue I think, it's competing with other local venues which are better for respective needs; NEC for exhibitions and Warwick Uni Conferences for conferencing.
I think with the right owners and with investment there is a lot that can be done with it.
Let's be honest, it was built on the cheap and has been poorly maintained over the years. Not a single development has gone up around it in 17 years (which given its gateway location and proximity to J3 is odd), and the whole area around it is in a sorry state - one of the scruffiest entry points into any major city in the UK - absolute shithole to be frank (council mostly to be blame for that, every day for 3 months now I have driven past a discarded sofa and a dead fox which is now in a serious state of decomposition, right next the 'thank you for visiting Coventry' sign). It's an appalling mess around there and is ripe for someone to come in and invest.
Please explain how he would be worse than what we have? We don't even have access to a pitch that's fit for fucking purpose. It’s a sad reflection of how desperate people are that they’re welcoming Jordan with open arms…and actually believing it.
Where did I say it’d be worse? Please explain how he would be worse than what we have? We don't even have access to a pitch that's fit for fucking purpose.
It was built at the cost of £113m. No other stadium of that size cost that much.
Even the Amex only cost around £90m and the new Brentford £70m.
The stadium itself is state of the art but was never quite finished. Simon Gilbert's book explains how they moved into unfinished offices etc.
They are spending money on it now with the new atrium and a little more would spruce the place up.
Doesn't help that whenever businesses want to open up, they are turned down. McDonalds and the hotels two of many.
When Palace went bust he was the major creditor to the tune of 23 million. He knows his way around a football club, be interesting to know why they hate him?Where did I say it’d be worse?
I’ve got a lot of Palace mates - they can’t stand Jordan…and for good reason.
She would be most welcome to sit next to MalakaNot sure but she’d put more bums on seats!!

You can afford one, go on treat yourself you tight arse"Potentially looking at"
"Im being encouraged to look at"
Yeah, I am potentially looking at a Lambo every time I go to the Fort Shopping Park.
It's the stadium deal that did for him, although tbf he was trying to reunite it with the club after it had been separated off (by Ron Noades?), so was for noble reasons at least.Didn't he fail to pay staff wages for months & also do a rather shady stadium deal that ultimately backfired?

We’ll they got to the premier league while he was chairman no mean feat.Yeah, no doubt his intentions were good, he is/was a massive Palace fan after all. You'd be hard pushed to find many that think he did a good job though.
Yeah even when they went up to the PL, I guess around 2005, he was largely seen as an idiot by them…that’s not to say he’d be worse than our current owners though.Yeah, no doubt his intentions were good, he is/was a massive Palace fan after all. You'd be hard pushed to find many that think he did a good job though.
I genuinely think he did until that point - he rescued them from near oblivion after all. And at least being a fan, when things went pear shaped he was prepaed to move them on to someone else appropriate, rather than cling on for all time, or just flog to the nearest shyster.Yeah, no doubt his intentions were good, he is/was a massive Palace fan after all. You'd be hard pushed to find many that think he did a good job though.
Gabby and O’Hara. Dumb & dumber
We’ve known it was for sales since the Times article which was clearly briefed. The two main points for me are.
He says he is being urged to look at it.
By who?
And its for sale.
No denial.
Anything else is fillers or opinion, the fact some think he is doing it for attention or to gain followers, is neither here or there.
£38M for the actual stadium.

Yes the stadium around the pitch £3M more than Kingpower .For the bowl, not the rest of it. Surely?
That video is traumatising….. I’d rather stick with SISU as owners and wasps our overlords then watch it againThe Facebook group seems to be revolving around someone shoving a bog brush up his arse today... while this place isn't perfect, you have to say we have a certain amount of superiority over the Facebook and Twitter riff-raff.

Exactly that just got tagged onto the end of the pitch situation. Not how it works Nick. That's been done on the fly with no build-up or teasing at all. The fact White wasn't sure how to react says everything,
No need to worry Dan’s been carefully studying him
The conference facilities are poor, the decor is cheap and nasty. The atrium area is ok but that's about it, it's much inferior to Warwick uni as i sayIt was built at the cost of £113m. No other stadium of that size cost that much.
