Tamás Nikitscher, a Hungarian midfielder, is in the orbit of the Valladolid club. Apart from Pucela, Hertha Berlin, Hannover 96, Coventry City and Milwall are also interested in the 25-year-old player.

Looks like a tall CM.

Plays for the team bottom of the Hungarian league, but now first choice for the Hungary national team.

Sheaf competition - or replacement!

Hungary are no mugs these days. Imagine he'll be keen to get into a better league asap.
Can't think a signing from that league would set you back too much either.

That was it. Wonder why so many CMs pulled out from joining us. Seems maybe we were way over ambitious for people we were looking at?
Frustrating really as we had a good CM and good RB lined up. The loan in midfield couldn't be helped, the player suffered an injury, I believe he's only just returned from it. Though young, he would've been promising imo.
I've heard we have 2 already lined up for January.

Great to hear we’ve got two lined up. Hopefully both are over the line quickly to avoid anyone else either pulling out or getting injured.

Would love a CB to be one of the two. I keep banging the drum but feel with just a couple experienced leaders this group would start to go on a tear

I've heard we are talking to a RB + CM, how far along they are I honestly don't know. I'm reluctant to even say that, as we know after the summer, even agreeing a deal with a club can mean nothing if the player is not interested.
I've not heard about a CB, doesn't mean there is nothing happening. I agree we need an older head in.
As far as out - I've heard nothing concrete.

It can be quite toxic on here when we are going through a bad patch.
Lots of glass half empty posters on here. Can be very negative. Hope the players are being told not to read this board. Watched a few interviews with FL when he was rumoured to be our next manager. He was very clear he doesn't like social media and doesn't read message boards like this. I hope this is being passed onto the players.

Some of the messages a couple of the players have received through direct messages on social media this season, have been nothing short of disgusting. I'm quite surprised they have not come off it. Similar to Brennan Johnson at Spurs, it would probably benefit them to step away. They are a mostly young squad, it's a disgrace. I've seen a couple of things on here about Ellis Simms that are vile. I hope Lampard has told them to stay off it, if they are his views, hopefully he can influence that. We should be backing our young players especially, years from their peak, they need coaching and encouragement.

Both roles we could do with some help with. Rb to help with Milan and CM.

Hoping for some quick business, Think Saddle said one sorted so hopefully one is done and the other is soon to be done ready for the window to open.

While I love that the business is a lot better I do miss the rumours heading into a window

I think information has been short, as it was unknown if we would pursue the same targets (after change of manager). I guess he has identified the areas he believes we are short? Whether or not some can wait till the summer is to be seen.
That's positive then if one is already sorted. Hopefully we can move quickly.
