Tavares is definitely showing some promise & his pace would definitely be welcome but he's still some way off being in the first team picture. Luke Tisdale says he still has lots of work to do, particularly on the physical side.
Not sure if it’s just me but I don’t think a player need to be the finished article to be worth chucking on for ten minutes to try and change a game. Especially if they have pace/height/something similar.

The coming weeks will show which players from the fringe group and youngsters are thought to have a chance of breaking through
Bright will be right at the front of the pack if he's fit
He started against Northampton
Of the younger players Eccles was on the verge until his injury
And Ryan Howley also started against Northampton and travelled with the first team to Barnsley
I doubt any of the other youngsters are near to breaking through at Championship level at the moment but things can change quickly with young guys, especially forwards
Seen him play yesterday, took his 2 goals well but is noticeably slight even up against players his own age. We know he can score at 23s level and in Rochdale reserves but the question is whether he can in men’s football. Until then, he’s not going to get closer to our first team.
National League or League 2 loan in January would be ideal imo.

Wonder if Rochdale would take him back. I'd say he's improved since we got him in, they are a league lower and they seem to be looking after Cashman ok.
