Well he is because we are 2 places higher then expected at the moment. So a manager we want to build a statue for should exceed that - yes?

Your right sorry. No we are not
No we are not
No, I dont think so.. Real cliche saying that when you can genuinely see when a manager has lost it... Like at Chelsea under Mourinho.Lost the dressing room ?
I do see you dismiss the budget argument alot and its surprising to see oldskyblue do the same as he works in finance? Is that correct
Budget accounts for many things, what we can spend in total on players wages and staff wages.. Also you'd include transfer fees.
If a club has a bigger budget they can offer higher wages, and usually higher transfer fees.
Better players sign at clubs who offer more money usually so budget can often and does often have some say on a teams limitations.
You sometimes get anomalies, Leicester, Barnsley and Swansea this season.
Sometimes teams find gems that turn out to be of much higher value than what they paid.
Coventry have a very small wage bill for this level, and spent a couple of million in the summer so let's say its several million in total.
The average wage bill at this level far exceeds what we can currently afford or are willing to pay.
For us to stay up, we have done well... As financially it can be argued that we haven't put enough in to do much better..
Barnsley it should not be forgotten stayed up because wigan had points deducted, they would have been relegated.
Its hard for me to understand, and I don't know what supporters are expecting but unless some investment is made into the squad, then we are going to be a lower end championship club even with survival unless we find some real cheap gems that can push us beyond that
Long story short... Budget in general is the reason that man City win the league so often these days and your West broms and your Wycombes struggle...
Totally my sentiment, forgive me about my lack of knowledge about Barnsley but did they stick with the same manager once they were lucky to stay up?
They changed him in the jan and he kept them up he then left and another one came in and took them forward,if we had owners who give a shit we would of changed it in jan and give a budget going down willl cost them a lot more £3-4m in tv money aloneTotally my sentiment, forgive me about my lack of knowledge about Barnsley but did they stick with the same manager once they were lucky to stay up?
Actually they gave him the start of this seasonnope
He left then he wasn’t sacked they then again found the right man SISU ain’t arsed we needed to twist in jan we stood still they will feel it if we go down but then again early season ticket hype will helpActually they gave him the start of this season

I dont think we needed to twist in January at all... It's pure fantasy to suggest that we would suddenly become better just because Barnsley did...He left then he wasn’t sacked they then again found the right man SISU ain’t arsed we needed to twist in jan we stood still they will feel it if we go down but then again early season ticket hype will helpsmart move
A Tub of spunk, castle door, custard slice, gorillas bottom lip.
Are all things @Grendel is thicker than, he’s thick with a capital F that lad, Fick Fucker.
I love him to bits really, his ramblings, and passion for his club, makes him a asset to this place, it wouldn’t be half as good without him.
more interested to hear your thoughts on robins time with you guys
It’s the manner we’ve given up points that gets me no issues losing to better teams but the set ups etc negative tactics I’m sick of itIf people think that sacking Robins and losing Viveash in the process is suddenly going to change our fortunes, then I think you're in for a shock.
The club has some stability, despite the bed wetting it's been on an upward trend for 4 years and we seem to have hit our ceiling..
3 years is fast to go from league 2 to the championship, its also a short time frame to get a squad capable of pushing on at this level...
Staying up would surely give us that platform... The first season at this level is brutal for many clubs with small budgets
We aren't a premier league club anymore, and 3 years ago we pretty much had to start again... Let's get some perspective and is it really so hard for some to appreciate the magnificent effort it's taken to get us back here in such a short time..
Christ you’ve just described our managerI didn’t enjoy it at all, boring football, and always whining about our budget, instead of just getting on with it, I was glad to see the back of him. It was always a toss up which was going to have less passion his teams performance or his interviews.
He’s one boring bastard that’s for sure.
Has he though? Were we boring over the last 3 years? I thought last season we were exceptional to watch at times and the season before..Christ you’ve just described our manager
League 2 we wasn’t great should of won that league last season we played good stuff but we had plenty of football left to play before being handed the title, for me he’s never champ levelHas he though? We pretty much put a brand new side together for league 2, last season we would have won the league at a canter, we'd lost 3 all season and had just beaten all our main rivals..League 2 we wasn’t great should of won that league last season we played good stuff but we had plenty of football left to play before being handed the title, for me he’s never champ level
I agree he’s done very well but going down wil be a disaster for the club is negative tactics and poor team selections haven’t helped us we need leaders now out there and it needs to come from the top now is the time sink or swim let’s see what their made ofWe pretty much put a brand new side together for league 2, last season we would have won the league at a canter, we'd lost 3 all season and had just beaten all our main rivals..
I think you're losing the plot mate, and it's poor to downplay his achievements... A manager that's given you pretty much everything you've never had... Success

Similar to how I’m seeing it this season it’s all too negative and cautious,1 up front at home to Wycombe today was the latest oneShits him self at this level, worrying about what he hasn’t got, compared to other clubs, instead of concentrating on get the best out of what he as got, it’s as though he doesn’t believe him and his team belong here. Roy Hodgson is the same at every club he’s ever managed.
We will let him blow the budget on more shit and sack him in September OctoberWell, even if relegation was to happen.. He knows how to get us up... So he's got the credentials to do the job.
IMO, we must stick by him and despite what's said on here, the club will

They didn’t sack him, he was poached by New York Red Bullsnot for long though
The squad is littered with it mate Kasta,Jobello,Hilsner etc he wasted the January budgetBy shit I assume you are referring to the loan signing of the Brighton striker?
It's widely agreed that as a club we've signed alot of good players of the last 4 years, this season hasn't really been much different has it.
A couple of duds same at most clubs, would be the same with any manager tbh
Alex ferguson signed plenty of shite too.
