Temporary ground share (1 Viewer)

We know the reports have stated a ground share for 3 years but the league did not say it couldn't be terminated in their statement?

It could always transpire there will finally be some agreement with the parties concerned and a return to the Ricoh after just one season is possible?

ACL has it in their interest to help bring such a scenario about.

If they had better sense still, they would have offered the Ricoh free for one whole season with a balloon note attached to any agreement that should they find a resolution to stay at the Ricoh, that balloon note would become payable as part of it.
That would at least make it far more difficult in the leagues eyes and the fans eyes for SISU not to hold off on any alternate plans while a solution could be found. Under those conditions I would find it extremely hard to not stay at the Ricoh one more season if I was SISU.

Well Fisher said we have signed an agreement with an option for 5 years and I personally would think that is the more realistic timeline there.....You like your 'facts' Pax so maybe you should at least state 3-5 years in what you say has been reported ;) Agree with everything else you say though!

Fisher said on CWR this morning that the deal for three seasons with two possible one year extensions had been done and that it would be too expensive to back out now.

I'll leave it up to you to decide how much weight you give to that statement.

Les Reid reporting tonight that no deal has yet been signed. an agreement has been made but nothing signed which is a big difference.

Well what I'm trying to intimate here, is that the fat lady has not sung yet. There are ways of rethinking things (even as I outlined) before leaping into Sixfields. What have ACL got to lose by offering it tomorrow morning in an attempt to get SISU to climb down, take a year to cool off and see what can maybe be done?
If ACL did that and SISU turned that down then I would would appreciate ACL more than SISU!

Don't worry Northampton. I'm certain SISU will pay their rent.

The more I listen to that bloke the more I hate him. Not learn't from the past, gonna build a lego ground, didn't mention the Coventry area this time. How long until they merge with Northampton?

Paxman,, I think I understand what you mean, and if they did I'm sure Fisher would say no. But when you've had your pants pulled round your ankles and a red hot poker shoved up your jacksy. You don't go back for more unless you've got a big hammer behind your back. CCFC is still in admin, until they come out the NTFC won't be done, ACL just need to stall until the start of the season and the fL will have to show their true colours, not this 'with regret' bollocks. ACL have offered the Ricoh to the administrator rent free. They (CCFC) have refused to listen. SISU put the club into admin, then they try and buy it out. The they started with the Liquidation threat again today. The Club has gone now, all we can do is protest, but we cannot get it back by blaming ACL. SISU are 85 % at fault 10% previous owners, maybe 5% ACL/CCC in my book.

I would not trust this shower to go down to the corner shop to get my milk, I hope NTFC have demanded payment up front!!

I'm guessing the same. Surely they knew about SISU's past with rent issues...

Well Nene Park is empty.
What if during the ground share with NTFC, we picked up support from the Northants area?
Nene Park is purchased and developed over the next 3 years
When ground share ends we move to Nene Park?
Unlikely, I know, but I would not rule this out. SISU would just BS the FL and say its the closest we can get to Coventry as no land available for a stadium.
