Gary mcsheffrey is owed one but it wont happen under the current owners and if we move stadiums i cant see it happening at all unless we hire the Ricoh for a one off game cant imagine hosting a testimonial at a stadium the player never played in
I assume this is a joke? Whilst Sheff was a decent player for usaying he's owed a testimonial
Marcus Hall Everton 2011?
Did George Curtis ever get one? Fantastic player and captain guiding us through the divisions before leading us with JS to the FA cup.
Forgot Liam Davis and Thornton as we beat Celtic!Richard Shaw?
my understanding of a testimonial is you get one for 10 years service which he did not starting a campaign to get him one just saying he qualifies
I thought the idea of a testimonial was to give a player a bit of cash when they were retired. Not many players who are going to need that with salaries these days.
That night included a match with the Tizwaz cast Chris Tarent, Tight lines Terry Thomas a very young Lennie Henry lots of water and gunge being thrown aroundI remember Bill Glazier's testimonial in That1974. If my memory serves me right, we played an England 1966 XI. Can't remember the score but it was a great game! I think even Glazier scored a couple and he was a goalie!

It used to be ten years unbroken service to the club and a way of giving the player a pension pot. The likes of Dave Busst are diferent as it acknowledges a career tragically cut short and again is a financial handshake.
McSheffrey doesn't qualify.
