On Sunday 19th March 2017, a team of nine Sky Blues in the Community and Coventry City employees took on the challenge of the Coventry Half Marathon in aid of the Jimmy Hill Legacy Fund – a fundraising initiative set up to provide opportunities to improve the quality of life for those who need it most, in memory of the late Jimmy Hill OBE.

If you were part of the 2,900 runners or one of the many locals lining the streets of Coventry offering support along the 13.1 mile route, you may have seen the team along the way in their Jimmy Hill Legacy Fund T-Shirts. These T-Shirts were sponsored by Hydraulic Hose & Engineering Ltd – an independent supplier of Hydraulic, Pneumatics, Bearings & Transmission products with over 50 years of experience. We would like to say a big thank you to Eamon and Beano for making sure the team were kitted out and recognisable on the day.

Well done to Aaron Hill, Anthony Charles, Curtis Goodison, David Busst, James Woodhouse, Mark Hornby, Malcolm Tanner, Shaun Pierce and Steve Wilson who all took part in the Coventry Half Marathon and have so far raised over £1,300 for the Jimmy Hill Legacy Fund through this event.

    Extended Thanks

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all those who have donated to the Jimmy Hill Legacy Fund to date. On Saturday’s CCFC home game we will welcome Angela, Kenny, Lee, Ian M and Ian S to the game who have all made contributions to the Jimmy Hill Legacy Fund and whose children will be taking part in a skills sessions on the pitch at half-time.
