It wasn't 27,000 sisu fans who turned out on our return to the Ricoh, the last positive thing to happen at our club. It was 27,000 football fans hoping to see some football. If we'd continued to win, we'd still be getting the crowds, and we wouldn't be focusing on our owners. But it all went wrong, and it's taken a long time to get round to taking any further positive action. But now it's happened, are we going to give our team a fresh surge of support? Are we going to show any change on the terraces as a result of Pressley's sacking? If we show our support in numbers on Saturday, this will surely encourage team, who must be looking for a sense of change from all quarters.....we can play our part, and I hope we do!
We did win that game, the crowd dipped to just over 11,000 the week after...

Hate this site now......Let's not discuss the post or point were making, let's pick up on something and nit pick!! Great.

The point becomes almost irrelevant if it's very basis is based on incorrect facts. Hardly nitpicking.
That being said, I hope the attendances do pick up, I'm going to wait a couple of games to see how we perform then maybe give it another bash.
Why wait...that's what sisu did...now's the time for action!

was that the week they started new legal proceedings too against the council and charity?
Football fans in general are fickle and the vast majority just love a good moan but Coventry City supporters appear to be much more negative than most.
The obsession regarding our owners takes the whole point and focus away from what we should all be doing, supporting the manager and the team, unfortunately another one 'bites the dust' and the timing is diabolical.
When has changing the manager actually had a positive and lasting benefit to the Sky Blues even in the short term (can think of only one over the last 20yrs, Mark Robins and he jumped ship).
We are now looking for our 12th manager since Gordon Strachen was dismissed in 2001, not a record to be particularly proud of and my guess is that in a couple of years time exactly the same thing will happen.
I'd have stuck with 'Elvis' for the long-term, we'll have great difficulty in finding a more passionate and totally hard working and committed manager, would like to wish him all the best and good luck in the future.
Good point, but if we'd continued winning....? will you be going this Sat?

That 27k crowd were fans who genuinely thought CCFC had "Come home for good" Only to have it thrown in their faces with a "It is only temporary" from Fisher.

Yes, it was a concerning drop, but the problem for me lay in that second game against Yeovil. It was all rather grim and dire and though we won, it was not exciting football by a long chalk.
I still think fans should have come back anyway, but had we turned on the style in that Yeovil match I do think the next home game would have had a much larger attendance than we ended up with.
True, but the 16K who didn't turn up didn't know that in advance, did they?

Do you know a fan base that has been worse treated than us ?

Something needed to change and it should have happened before Xmas. If I remember right you were against getting rid of SP.

The reason is that the management have never really supported financially the managers over that period.

Then get a fcuking good one !!!

Thanks for trying, but tactically inept and I suspect his man management skills were questionable.
IMHO he put a grudge with players over the good of the team.
Couple of genuine points here Torchy....Why? when the vast majority of supporters thought SISU were finally doing something good for the fans, did Fisher wait till the very last minute of tickets and ST's being sold to open his big gob to burst the bubble of optimism running throughout the City supporters? Where did that "Full house" money go?..Certainly wasn't to the "Football Club" was it! It went straight to the fund of "Let's batter the f**k out of the Council in a NEW JR" again! It's as tho' they wait till funds are low then come up with a idea to "Curry favour" with the fans, take some more money off them then "Royally shaft them up the a**e" once again!Whilst true, I can't believe crowds dropped so dramatically just because of what Fisher said. After all, he's a liar, isn't he? Even if the new stadium did happen then we'll be at the Ricoh for a good few years yet, so the "But Fisher said" excuse is a little lame.
We did win that game, the crowd dipped to just over 11,000 the week after...
RFC you defend everything SISU do which is your choice but seen as you are in the know when are we finding out about the new stadium and how will that benefit CCFC if CCFC do not own it?
To be fair he is finally criticising them for something
11k in the third division is good going.
