This is a question, it is not my opinion.

Are supporters gradually now seeing the bigger picture on what has happened over the past 2 years and where the blame may be apportioned ?

I say this because there now appears to be fewer " anti -SISU" threads on here and more threads now apportioning blame equally between ACL, CCC and SISU.
Looking back, could this ridiculous situation been prevented had ACL and CCC taken a more realistic approach ?

I am not a SISU lover, believe in NOPM and will not go to Sixfields, but I do think that ACL and CCC could do a lot more than they appear to be doing at the moment ?

The facts are coming out and speak for themselves but some on here will be forever blind and deaf to that.
I think their mummy must have told them SISU = BAD!

For me, any blame apportioned towards acl or CCC is pre December 2012.

Since then, substantial rent reduction offer, higgs basically offering their share for a decent rate etc were good offers IMO.

The move to Sixfields, I hold sisu 100% to blame for this. There is no need for it.

I would say in the last year acl or CCC have done absolutely nothing wrong. Prior to that they can be credited with some of the mess were in. Since then its been all sisu.

Quiet possibly, but I think fans are looking for some sort of resolution to this mess and although others such as ACL, Council are not blameless it is our owners or those working on their behalf such as Tim Fisher and side-kick Steve Waggott who have created this now seemingly impasse. There seems to be more moderate statements coming from SISU and Ann Lucas at the moment, does that give a little hope ? There seems to be no economic sense, if there was ever any anymore to this Sixfields nonsense and it looks to me sisu are scatching around for a face saving solution. That part-time director Mark Laboritch is talking for less militantly than he was. Gates at Northampton will never go much higher than about 2000 and away support will be atleast that at many games, if Joy Sepalla is really keeping her eyes on all this surely she will see the stupidity in maintaining with this nonsense.

Since then we have become a mid table league 1 club with an average gate of 2k.

Care to defend that?

We still need to know what has gone on behind closed doors hopefully the court case will at last do this I think ccc will be crapping themselves and heads may roll unfortunately this will take many months and sisu are so intransigent and prepared to continue to lose money every week I fear a short term return to cov is out of the question

About as rosey as it was pre 2005. We were awesome before we moved to the acl owned arena. Remember the classic Peter Reid era? Or who could forget the ever glorious days of Gary Mcallister.

Now that we've gotten away from the shackles of the Ricoh we might be able to return to those glory days.

Pre-Fisher
- running up £40m of debt and having only a relegation to show for it
- sacking one of our most successful managers statistically to bring in Chris Coleman, one of the worst
- failing to back managers at key times
- trying to reduce wages too early costing us Championship status
- undermining the manager by sitting on the bench
- failing to even attempt to reduce the rent, in fact going as far as to defend I when a non-Sisu board member complains
- failing to even attempt to buy into ACL/Ricoh when relations (and finances) were far better

Post-Fisher:
- reducing the fanbase to <10% of what it was when they took over
- moving the club 35 miles from its home
- souring relations with the council and Higgs
- screwed a local charity out of money
- forcing the liquidation of the club and removing any right we had to shares in ACL
- trying to screw the taxpayers of Coventry with derisory bids and legal action against CCC
- suggesting they will never return to Coventry unless they get the Ricoh (which shouldn't even be an option in a decently run league)

They're not 100% bad. Since Fisher & Waggot has arrived the playing side has improved dramatically both in terms of quality and ethos and value for money. But that doesn't make them 100% good either.

Imagine going from the quality stadium MK, with 7k loud city fans, to that shithole with 1500 city fans. It must be so depressing for them.

To be fair Shmmeee dowies record in the league was pretty average -
PL 43 W 15 D7 L 21 Win ratio 35% Loss ratio 49% 1.21 pts per game (55 over a season) - the points per game is almost identical to Coleman's 1.19 (54.5) and Adams - 1.26 pts per game (58).

Coleman was poor though and stayed far too long.

Although their record is similar, I always felt Dowie was much better at building the team up for important games.

I don't think we would have seen the 5-0 FA cup defeat to WBA or the 4-1 loss at Charlton on the final day if Dowie had stayed.

ACL/the Council have not done all thy could to keep CCFC in Coventry. However, they have, more importantly, stopped SISU from getting their grubby, little hands on the Ricoh.

The council had a unanimous vote on the decision to buy the ACL loan from the Yorkshire Bank didn't they? We're gonna need a whole new council if heads are going to roll. However if ACL just get a loan from a commercial lender now that they're supposedly in better shape then they can pay the council back. If SISU then do win the Judicial Review then it would have no effect on ACL and all they've done is get one over on the council.

Exactly my thoughts also. Presumably ACL have continued to repay loan, so the amount owed is less than the 14.4M.

Reduced gates at 'home' can certainly be attributed to Sisu as they moved us to Northampton and we shouldn't be playing our home games there. Are there reduced gates at away matches?

Could you expand ? Aside from handing over the RICOH keys what other options were available to ACL/CCC ??

Still can't understand why they didn't just buy the Higgs share and get access to ACL that way. Could have had access to the accounts, a third of the seats on the board etc.

Dowie's Coventry did suffer heavy defeats as well 3-0 vs leicester, 3-0 vs Birmingham, 4-0 at home vs PNE, 3-0 vs bristol city at home, 4-1 vs Ipswich, 3-0 vs Watford, 4-0 at home vs WBA, 4-0 vs Blackpool, not great when you consider he managed us for a calendar year, pretty much 1 season. The wins at Man U and Blackburn make his tenure look better than it actually was.

Coleman was awful though.
