He said: “The supporters were amazing today, for me sitting in the dugout and looking across at that was amazing.
“It was such a different feeling as opposed to last year and it was massive for the team today to see a bank of Coventry City fans cheering their team on. Fortunately for the fans, the players on the grass with their boots on sent them home happy.
“It does help seeing that. The players in the tunnel look across to see that it is inspirational, we’ve got to try and make this place a fortress.”
They did try it last season, and im not sure if they caved into fan pressure too quickly when it was criticised almost immediately, or if it was done with the intention of getting a bit of publicity, i.e. 'we listened to what fans wanted' etc.
Either way, the right decision was made. Made a noticeable difference today
