In this time of doom and gloom, it helps if we look at the funny side of Football. So for this week's Cooks Question on Sports Lounge, i want to know the funniest thing you've ever seen at a sporting match. Doesnt have to be from football. It can be from any sport and any team. From professional leagues to kick abouts. If it's made you chuckle, let us know. If you wouldnt like your opinion on my show but would still like to put your answer in the thread, please let me know so i dont read it out. You can tune into Sports Lounge LIVE on Hillz FM 98.6 on Thursday from 10-12 Noon. And if you're an early bird, you can catch my new breakfast show, Good Morning Hillfields, on Tuesday 7-9 on Hillz FM. Thanks again for your amazing support. Sports Lounge wouldnt be what it is today without you guys
I recall years back when we were playing Norwich City and I'd arranged to meet my son in the pub before the match. He hadn't been to a game for a while and didn't know who we were playing that afternoon.Anyway he had been out the night before and turned up in the clothes he had worn as he hadn't time to change. The pub was full of Cov fans with not one away fan in there, and it was noisy and in walked my son wearing a yellow and green T- shirt the colours of Norwich City!He couldn't understand why half the pub started giving him stick and winding him up.After telling him who we were playing he turned his top inside out and we both sheepishly left the pub to whistles and jeers. We laughed about it later as I heard a bloke stood by me in the pub say "he's got some bottle wearing a Norwich top !"
Playing Saturday football for the Dunlop in the 1990's and one of the lads who played for us was a right criminal.
We go play Canley Social Club one afternoon and after about 20 minutes, this guy looks like he is sprinting for the ball and just carries on 'Forest Gump' style off the field, over the hedge and out of sight.
Everyone is like "WTF"!!
We then see a couple of cop cars in the car park and then as the gossip goes round we find out he had actually broken into Canley club the previous night and raided the bandit.....
Its hard to see the funny side of thigns after last night, but the funniest thing i've seen at a sports match was on TV. It was a rugby league match i believe. A bloke was coming into the stadium with a pint in each hand. The ball was kicked out of play and landed right on his bloke's noggin. I think the fans around him bought him another couple of pints but it was bloody hilarious

The exact same thing happened to me in the West Terrace years ago (it was actually going to be my story above).
Before games, Cyrille Regis used to take warm up shots at big Oggy and this particular time I was walking across the rows of seats with 2 pints and 2 hotdogs when I looked left to see Cyrille running up to take his shot on the edge of the area.
As I looked down to make sure I didn’t trip I hear the ‘thud’ of the shot and a few seconds later the ball smacked me right on the side of the head.
I remember seeing my feet fly above me as I landed in the next row UP the terrace. Beer and food all over the place.
Thankfully it was early so there wasn't many in the stands at the time but there was a almighty cheer from the crowd that was there.
Jesus it hurt like a mofo but I tried not to show it as I picked my crumpled self up!.
Cyrille ran over and apologised and I could see him and Oggy laughing at me after as he made his way back on the pitch.
To say I was embarrassed was an understatement…
Silva was untouchable between August and November time. Dropped off a bit lately. RVP for me. Kept what is a quite average side in Arsenal near the top 4
OK guys. There was no Sports Lounge last week. I was feeling a little under the weather. So we're going to be using this Cooks Question for this weeks show
Shay Given putting the ball down not noticing Dion is stood behind him, Dion then popping up in front of him and calmly shooting it in the net for a goal.
