Takes all sorts I suppose, but he was always just a generic pop singer with, sure, a decent range, but not much about him beyond that.

I have Slaves and Masters (and the rainbow albums you mentioned). I think that 'Love Conquers All' is a great track.

Freddie Mercury was good. I saw a TV documentary about his life a while ago and they had a scene where he was singing a song (none of his famous ones) while walking down a staircase that was stupendous (the song that is not the staircase).the greatest singer to ever grace Earth would have been 70 today.
