Why don't Sisu negotiate for this? Surely if they want a cheap way of putting themselves in for negotiations this would be it? What do we reckon it would sell for, £5Mil?

But despite the Veto surely the Council would see this move by the Club as a good step, this brings them back to the Ricoh and tops up the ACL business, everyone's happy?
They did and Higgs agreed a HOT only to never hear from SISU again. I believe the 'formula' price was around £10m and SISU offered around half that but still had their bid accepted.
SISU should have really exercised the right to purchase 50% of ACL on day one. They would have got all match day revenues and been in a stronger position to renegotiate the rent owning half the company they would be negotiating with. They could also have blocked the joint venture company with Compass ever being formed.
Worth pointing out nothing has ever been put to the council to even have a chance of exercising their veto. If they purchased half of ACL now they could spend the next couple of years working in partnership with the council and building up the level of trust, at that point they may have more chance of getting hold of the whole thing.
I agree with all that mostly, but is there no way fresh negotiations cannot take place now?
I am of that but surely they would welcome fresh negotiations?

Call me old fashioned, but i don't think withholding contractually agreed money from the AEHiggsTrust charity for 2 years, and then counter-suing them, is a good way to start negotiations and show 'good intentions'.
Higgs and the council have, at least publicly, always stated they were happy to talk at any time if a serious offer is made. I suspect in Higgs case it would now require paying the legal fees owed from last time round and SISU dropping their court action before they would enter talks again. Of course if SISU did both of those things it could be seen as them offering an olive branch.
i thought sisu had moved on and are building a new stadium robbo.It's always fathomed me why they didn't before but more so now.. Surely it can only leave them in a better place?!

But that's the things how do we know it was contractually agreed it's never been mentioned that the £30K the Higgs are suing for was signed on a contract??

That of course is the sensible approach but since when were Shitzu sensible?Come to that why don't they make an offer for the whole of ACL? They are then in the Ricoh with 40 years remaining on the lease. The council may agree to extend the lease as part of the negotiations. SISU have the leasehold, CCC retain the freehold. Happy days!

I'm kind of confused by the OP. SISU started to negotiate for the Higgs share and then pulled out, supposedly owing the charity £30,000. Hence the impending court case.
Both sides are now seemingly committed to court - it seems unlikely that either would trust the other sufficiently to begin a new round of negotiations.
As for olive branches - when was the last time that SISU moved their position towards ACL/Higgs/Cov CC? At every step in the process SISU have asked for more from these parties, not less.
I cannot believe there are people on here who would still deal with sisu.
We all know the rent on the Ricoh was to high,we also know that CCFC agreed that rent,
and that sisu having conducted due diligence accepted it also.
Some years down the line and through their own neglect of the playing staff of CCFC
the Club got relegated. Sisu then decided to attempt to distress ACL by withholding the rent,
and subsequently forced their own administration to get out of the rental agreement.
This led to CCFC having no ground to play at--even though the CCC/ACL said they could still
have use of the Ricoh. This wasn't acceptable to sisu so they moved the club to the Cobblers.
By there own admission sisu have no interest in football--there only interest being in making money
for their investors.
I hope they lose both the JR and the Higgs claim.
