New series about potential wrongful convictions in murder cases.

Really enjoyed it, though the first episode does tend to dick you about about in not revealing what the wrongful evidence actually is. Once you get past that though I would say it's quite compelling viewing.

Six episodes, two murder cases, same town, same police force.

Produced by John Grisham, the famous writer.

If you liked Making a Murderer you should like this.

Saw the preview. Looks decent.
Based on the only non fiction book Grisham has ever written
Started watching Roma on Netflix last night Everyone is raving about it so maybe I'm just an uncultured slob but I turned it off because I thought it was shite.

Is it a slow burner?
Erm, wouldn't call it that as such. They just hold back on releasing facts as to why these people might be innocent, so you get friends and relatives saying they are innocent, but no meat on the bones for a little while.

Not as good as MAM, but still rather good I would say and probably even more outrageous in some ways re the evidence..... or lack of it.

I fell asleep after about 20 minutes! Might give it another go.
As I say, they are slow in coming up with the alibis and reasoning why the convictions aren't safe.

Had to fill 6 episodes I guess.

Anyway, I need someone to watch it so I can talk about it on here.

Just finished it. Really enjoyed it, a bit slow in parts, but interesting. The American justice system isn't fit for purpose.

It isnt.

Outrageous isn't it.

So, these people confessed ,but...

1.The body wasn't found where they said it was. It was miles away.

2. She wasn't wearing the clothes they said she was when the body was found (therefore pointing to coercion by the police in their confession tapes)

3. They said they stabbed her repeatedly, but upon examination of the body there were no signs anywhere of any stab wounds and in fact she had been shot in the skull.

4. There were other suspects, who also looked very much like the photofit pictures, who weren't pursued as suspects.

5. There were over 800 pages of police files (witness statements, interviews, evidence papers etc.), yet only 180 pages were handed over to the defence.

6. The only person who heard them confess apart from the police was a snitch, who also testified in the other case where the two there were exonerated and found to be innocent).

Have I covered it all?

Absolute madness.

Yeah after about the 3rd it started cutting out the crap and getting to the point. Absolute madness.
Nothing at all adds up in their confessions past 'we killed her'.

Everything is based solely on that.

Did I imagine it (I was sleepy) that they kept asking him about his dream and using that as a confession?

Something that did puzzle me though was this third guy they mentioned, the one where one of the suspects got the name wrong and the detective corrected him.

What happened about him? They stopped talking about him and I think he was released without charge.

The tit one?

The prosecutor also seemed to think there were no other suspects too.
