So these players who didn't fit in in higher leagues are now struggling in a lower league and against part timers. Where's the myth? Some are clearly still not fitting in.

I know that's why I said it surprised me when you said its the other way round.

But I mean prior to this my concern is will sell or release quality and replace it with players not as good.

We didn't release Christie he just left. Leon Clarke would never have stayed and it would be absurd to suggest that Wilson would have stayed .

Adams was pretty poor and O Brien is better than baker whose career was rapidly on the slide. Moussa I so t think has stared a game for Charlton.

The main point remains. The Saturday defeat was not down to having an inferior side to the opposition .

A new manager is needed to make them fit in

Based on that we should have put Oggy in goals and perhaps ask Bobby Charlton to make a guest appearance
Surely they need some weighting reflecting how far off their best they are ?

Or this manager needs to develop a different approach to getting the best of what he has available to him .

IE change his principals .

I couldn't care less what these players have done in the past, it's what they can offer the club this season they were signed for !

... or is it that we need to get the players to feel they belong to the club by offering them longer contracts.
That in itself is a risk but people need to start doing their homework first.

So you want us to offer players who could be crap long term contracts so they feel at home??

How many other clubs in this league sign players on one year or two year contracts?

People need to do their homework on players and build in performance related pay that puts more empasis on winning etc
Somethings missing here. I play football twice a week and I want to win every game I play.

As I said you need to do your homework. He never fitted in at Wolves for the same reasons he never fitted in here.
Obrien and Johnson are the only players I could say I've noticed on the pitch. All the other mercenaries just seem instantly forgettable.

Yet you still did.

It's funny that some of the posters on here who laugh when you say we need to get rid of SISU and scoff "who with" are making the most noise now about needing a change of manager and when asked who should we replace SP with call you immature for asking a question.

To finish your sentence

Clarke and Christie were never going to stay once they realised the club had no ambition.

Every team in this division is made of freebies and youth team players, if we are saying it is going to be impossible for us to achieve any success using this model well we might as well just give in now cause it ain't gonna change.

If that's your point then I totally agree we are better than Worcester.
However my concern is playing football that fans enjoy and winning.
So we are at least competing in or around the play offs.
That is the only way I see bigger attendances and success at this club.
For whatever the reasons we have had a long period of time for fans witnessing better players leave than those who have come in.
My own personal believe for this is due to wages and a drive for a break even point.
I am not sure which manager can achieve in those conditions a Johnson or a Warnock maybe.
Gary Johnson was my pick for the job but some felt he wouldn't fancy it?
I really am not sure about SP, I don't think he achieved much before coming here and was picked for the model of bringing through kids to develop and sell.

Probably more reflective would be how many games had

Murphy
Christie
Clarke
Wilson
Moussa
Adams
Baker
played in comparison to their replacements

Burge
Pugh
Reda
Nouble
Tudguy
Hines
JOB

It's probably slightly more appearances by the crowd that left.

The more salient point would be how many are playing in the Championship now? All bar the last two, and those are playing for teams higher up the division.

Also, all of those were our players, Nouble and Hines aren't. Unless you want to start counting people like Petrasso from last season.

The main thing that stands out when typed like that is the comparison of names and quality from the first group against the second group- don't really need to say anymore

Murphy
Christie
Clarke
Wilson
Moussa
Adams
Baker
played in comparison to their replacements

Burge
Pugh
Reda
Nouble
Tudguy
Hines
JOB
