I think it’s delirium but this made me LOL.

“The next goal was a long ball of sorts that Grimmer tried to head back to Burge, but he too had caught the useless prick pandemic ripping through our team, and simply teed up their striker to nip in and slotted away number three.
3-0.
Yes we had basically gifted them every goal, but christ did they look like natural born finishers. I thought the saving grace of being in a shite division was that you could make mistakes and rely on the other team being useless enough to take advantage of about half. Not today my friends”

Always enjoy reading your reports. Just a question if you don’t mind answering, is blogging/writing just a hobby or is it what you do for a living? It’s a really good standard

Good read as always. Have to agree that until the 5th went in, I thought we were in with a chance of something. We played much better than the 4-0 defeat at Cambridge last season, and it wasn’t dull to watch

When you start paying me, it will suddenly stop being an expensive and time-consuming hobby
Appreciate that though mate.

'Yet another confused Cook in this kitchen specialising in faeces Gravlax '.
This has to be your best yet.
There was much subject matter to derive from, poor old Pete staring into his lap .
Once again brilliant, your best!!

The only issue I have with the TLS reports is that they sometimes come across as a bit mocking of some of the away towns and grounds we go to.....yes most of them aren't lovely places but I've never liked the sort of fan who will turn up a random away day and spend all day going on about how shitty the away club's town / surroundings are. I've been guilty of that myself, to be fair. Otherwise I think they're a great read.

Yep, it's cringe worthy. Remember the Brighton game in particular "Brighton 's a 's. .. hole, I wanna go home" which being a vibrant area is/was just silly.

Yep. I'm not calling out Laurence specifically, I hear this from lots of fans.

I am definitely guilty of that, but I try to give credit where it is due.
For instance, Carlisle, Lincoln, and Morecambe - all places I thought were spectacularly beautiful in their own way, and I bigged them up.
I'm afraid that Newport's brown river is too much not to comment on. I'm from Bristol, and we have our own variety of this rank sludge-banked waterway - it's just saved by the suspension bridge above it and the leafy surrounds.
Maybe once we go back up the leagues and the games are more interesting than the places they take place in, I'll stop writing about the environs altogether!
Thanks for reading all the same, L
