I would have RR back at the drop of a hat. My dream board would be Elliot (chairman), Waggot (CEO), Byng, Hoffman, Ranson and Andy Thorn (director of football).

I did ask mr Strange if he would open thread on here for people to suggest such questions. He was going to discuss it with the rest of the SCG.

Jan you were at the meeting ( or anyone who was there, that us reading this)

Do you know if the group agreed?

Unfortunetly Jan could not make Thursdays meeting due to work commitments, however I was present and can tell you that the concept of JS having a link on here was briefly discussed but as I recall it was not agreed to take up the suggestion. It was felt that the best option was to take questions through the official CCFC website.

I think the worry of getting a some abuse and some silly questions may have been an issue. But also the marketing lads from the clubs felt it was best put through the official site.

Also, if the SCG is all about the match day experience, surely they need someone from ACL to now sit in on these meetings?

And have someone on the board that wouldn't try to dodge the harder questions? Can't see it happening myself.

No doubt there may have been some abuse... but it would probably happen on any fan forum for any club in the world.

As for the 'marketing guys' - typical response really... lets do some research, but not actually get the opinion of anyone that spends time debating/talking about the club at length. No wonder they struggle to engage.

Back in the days of the unimpeachable, distinctly un-rogue-like board, it had to be pointed out that the non official boards were quite mild compared to the official one...

tbf, probably nothing wrong with questions going direct to the source.

Does that mean you know where the stadium is? :)

Nick I hope that is a tongue in cheek question?
If I were told where fantasy land was going to be built I would be shouting it out from my front door, I strongly believe we should all know where it's planned.

Out of interest, has it ever been asked/been said who is restricting said information?

Two representatives from the SCG were invited to attend the CCFC board meeting last Thursday, one came to the evening meeting but had to be cautious what he said, the other went on CWR and did give a little more information but neither has actually said they know where the new site is.
I think what frustrates most people is what difference does it make if it gets out, are they worried someone is going to guzump them? If such a place exists, then the local Authoirty, planners, Architects and certain individuals must know something.

In answer to your question Northern, it must be TF who us restricting what information is getting out.

weren't they part of the SCG when it started?

Yes they were.
In my opinion they should be one of the first people on the invite list for the SCG.
When I first went along I was under the impression the SCG was an independent group.

Thanks for letting me know. I don't agree with the answer, but appreciate you letting me know.

Yes abuse will happen but that should be sorted by the moderators here and ignored by the SCG.

Mr Strange and Ward are attending board meeting as fans representatives. So they should want to canvass the opinions if the fans. So when they can attend the meetings they can represent us effectively.

I can't see how they are doing that. They can filter out stupid questions and agree with the rest of the SCG members which questions to put forward.

As I say I know you are just the messenger and thanks for letting me know

A moderated section can be setup within minutes with abuse and crap filtered... if it helps

Pete Ward does not represent me and I would estimate or 95% of the fans, the man has always been right behind sisu regardless of facts . The 'man' is blinkered

The club has marketing lads they must be the most under-worked people in the world apart from the idiot that is looking after the building of the new stadium.

Is ward the ones who looks after the international fans or is that the other one?

Bet he's rushed off his poor little feet telling us it will be three weeks away every few months

Doesn't look like it looks like he has been doing a lot of sitting down and relaxing not earning his mega salary!
