It's not, if built in 2024 it would be built with more turnstilesRocked up about 7:15 last night and got through pretty smoothly compared to recent weeks. It seems to be the luck of the draw with which turnstile you get, but that shouldn't be the case
It's shit, the ground always has issues with big attendances, whether that's for Football or concerts. IT's as if the ground isn't capable of actually holding its attendance
Licensing restrictions or so claims the guy who claimed to work for the arena on hereWhy not just to a happy hour on food and drink in the ground, fans will be like pigs at the trough in there.

Can’t we just employ this guy?
7.15pm, 4 people in the queue for the first North Stand turnstile we came across. People do realise you can use any turnstile, right?
I was the only cause of delay, as the rain on my screen was messing with the barcode scan.
I followed the advice on here you can use any turnstile. I tried to get into the executive box area with my family stand season ticket but they wouldn’t have it.I have tried using other turnstiles and the ticket didn’t work and was told I could only use the ones on the ticket
Umbrellas have been on the list of prohibited items for ages tbf.It was a tad farcical getting in last night. The poor bloke in front of me was told in no uncertain terms that he had to leave his umbrella outside because ‘it had a spike on it’seems a bit OTT to me. He was hardly going to use it to ram up the opposition keepers arse…How very ridiculous of him to bring a rain protective mechanism during a monsoon.
They’ll take your bottle caps off your drink but are happy to provide you with a knife for a pie. A bit of consistency wouldn’t go amiss chaps.
On what basis could you be selective without being accused of being discriminatory?I've never understood why they insist on searching everyone, it's way over the top.
Small foldable umbrellas are allowed, pork pies are not.Umbrellas have been on the list of prohibited items for ages tbf.

It would help if those with paper tickets actually folded them where the lines are to put it in the ticket machine. There were 4 in front of us trying to feed the scanner with A4 paper.Worst yet last night. A bad mix of people arriving late, soggy printed tickets and the usual overzealous checks.
They put barriers up to stop the queues moving too far out and that helps at the bars but created a lot of frustration for some. It got quite tense when people had missed kick off and were nowhere near in the stadium. Stewards panicked and stopped searching and checking tickets.
I previously argued people are turning up late but there's clearly something else. They check the bags too late. At other stadiums, they have a table or stewards at the start of the queue checking which then allows people time to get their ticket ready at the turnstile. At the CBS, stewards are searching right up by the door.
@Sky Blue Pete I know this has been discussed multiple times but I don't think the unopened turnstiles under Block 14 have been mentioned. Clearly, SAG have never been keen on fans entering there as it's past the (stupid) fence. Surely reopening these has to be something on the radar soon.
The early food and drink deals aren't enough to get people in early. Does anyone really want a stadium pint at 1pm?
You don’t have to go in where your seat is even though your season tickets gives you 3-4 turnstiles to use. If you go in the North side you can get in virtually straight away then walk through the concourse.Worst yet last night. Wise up just put a spare top in your pocketI

Search 1 in 5, or 1 in 10.On what basis could you be selective without being accused of being discriminatory?
Fuck knows, whenever they find anything I'm my pocket they ask me what it is (phone or wallet normally). It could be a grenade for all they know, they never actually ask to see what it is.What are they even looking for?
I sit in block 21.... saw large queues down that side of the stadium and walked round to the North stand and got straight in.
They need to stop telling people, who are queuing for B14/15/16/17, that queues are shorter up towards the north stand. This is completely false. Even if was the case, you are then just congesting the concourse with people shuffling through crowds and back towards the corner area. It’s a shit show all over.
But at least you wouldn't be standing out in the rain.
Why not just to a happy hour on food and drink in the ground, fans will be like pigs at the trough in there.
Can you also suggest that they put some sort of covered areas outside by the bars for when the weather is crap? It’s an excellent point
I could be talking out of my arse here, but I’m sure they did something like this at the start of the season for a couple of games. Didn’t seem to last very long which is a shame. But you’re spot on, give someone a reason to enter the ground early and they’ll reduce these issues significantly
The beer in the outside bars is much better to be fair!
