I liked him but he's not got anywhere near the same quality

The dream team.
Very exciting prospect but very young & more of a wide player, not a Hamer replacement.Eliesse ben seghir from Monaco
He was ok and did a job when called upon, wouldn't say he was greatChrist, the team can't be made up of 11 Hamers. Eccles was great last season and enabled Hamer to push forward.

Carel Eiting as someone earlier suggested would be a very interesting addition. I'm sure it's just coincidence but ironically he's just pulled out of Volendam's match tonight with illness.
What do you think his job was?He was ok and did a job when called upon, wouldn't say he was great
He was at Huddersfield for a bit but I can't really remember himAny idea of his defensive output/style?
Terry Tickles also available….. could probably get Tez in the bag no problemMustafa Koch
Mike Oxmells-Grimm
Ben Dover
Would provide real depth to the squad and all wanting out at the moment.
Decent. Not Hamer levels but then Hamer himself wasn't that good defensively to begin with.Any idea of his defensive output/style?
No way, very tenacious but so limited on the ballI'd be taking a look at Allan Campbell at Luton. Didn't feature in the play off final and was not an automatic starter in the last few months of the season. Even more of a box-to-box non stop duracell bunny than Hamer and arguably even more tenacious but without his finesse. Must be a horrible little bloke to play against. All depends whether he's part of Luton's plans.
We’re not necessarily going to go for him in particular but we need someone like Matt Grimes at Swansea.
He’s nowhere near as good as Hamer in most respects but if we had him as a replacement for example, he’d knit everything together which is what I think we’ll miss most with Hamer.
Are the first four anagrams?Michal Sadilek
Joshua Kitolano
Finn Becker (Bundesliga)
Carel Eiting
Taylor Booth
Some young, apparently talented, midfielders from the Eredivisie (and one from the Bundesliga) which could be our target market.
And a suggestion of Adam Randell from Plymouth (probably more of a Sheaf backup though tbf)
You're not going to replace him like for like but we need to replace his goals and assists. Willock could be the answer, no idea why he hasn't had a sniff at QPR tho.Yep good shout, although think he plays more advanced than Hamer
This is the one out of all suggested that I would see as the best replacement. Would leave plenty of cash left over too.Eiting apparently wants a move to Vitesse. He thinks he has a £400k release clause, the club says it isn’t a release clause.
But now hamer ain't there to push forward ...Christ, the team can't be made up of 11 Hamers. Eccles was great last season and enabled Hamer to push forward.

No worry, we still have EcclesBut now hamer ain't there to push forward ...
Ben Whiteman at Preston was linked with us previously a few years back. He’s also in his last year of his contract. Him or Rathbone wouldn’t surprise me. I think we’ll get a couple of centre mids in nowOllie Rathbone at Rotherham might be worth a look at. I think Robins rates him and I think he is out of contract at the end of the season.
Normally don’t make such expensive shouts but seeing Doug’s track record I don’t think it’s too out of place tbh.Would like us to invest across the board with this one. Ideally would want to get in Zorgane, Willock, one of Wharton/Kitching/Cashin and maybe another back up midfielder on the cheaper side or even a loan.
Family reasons?Eiting apparently wants a move to Vitesse.
